Bootmod3 and MHD have B58 tunes already that should work on the m40i. As far as catless DPs go, there isn't anything officially listed as of yet, but any of them that do not have the exhaust hanger on it should work, such as the VRSF catless DP.
I'm right there with you wanting to do mods to my m40i, but with a limited market at the moment, gonna be some time before things get tractions and momentum. AC Schnitzer has a development program going at the moment for the g29, but it's limited to wheels and tires at the moment. I'd love to get some side skirts and front lip like they did for the g20 sedan, but who knows when that will come out. I've love to see some kind of rear spoiler for some added downforce on the car as well. |

will check if the part number for the oem downpipe for the z4 g29 match up with any other bmw vehicle with a B58 engine... guess it goes for aftermarket dp as well ... want to do a stage 2 bm3 tune but i need dp for that so thats why im holding up on the tune for now ... guess even the drop in filter if it matchs up with other cars i can bet a BMC 1 that will fit

Already checked, oem DP only used on g20 m340i. But the others are manufactured relatively the same angles. But always best to lean on the safe side and wait for confirmation from the aftermarket. I had an extra catless DP for my m240i that I got rid of when I sold the car. Wish I would’ve held onto it now >.<

Mike at X-ph (vender on the forums) said that BM3 will work on any B58 motor (though I saw a newer m240i had issues with BM3 recognizing his vehicle).
I connected the JB4 from my ‘17 m240i to my wife’s ‘19 X3 M40i and it seemed to be working. Put it on the ‘20 Z4 M40i while on the dyno and got no improvements at all. |

Like I had mentioned, there was a 2er I saw that had the issue and some others had references m3/4s having issues with the s55 and 340s from 2019. |

Those look like a similar design to mperformance tips, but not sure. Agree 100% they look better than the stock ones.

It honestly doesn’t sound much different than stock with the exception of some more bangs. The note isn’t lower, but it sounds louder. I personally like the exhaust note so this is a pretty nice setup. Wonder what material it’s made from (titanium, steel, aluminum).
