Recommend me some 'airpods' pls

I'm tired of my cheap earphones breaking all the time, even though they are inexpensive, it adds up since I probably went through 1/2 a dozen.

I noticed that those Bluetooth ones are getting more affordable, some are now CAD35/USD25, are they better than wires ones in terms of durability? Seems like I breathe on the fragile wires and they somehow break.

Fyi, I'm not pumping out hifi music, mainly use it to watch YT videos, go into voicerooms, etc. Tx.

Edit: I have android and am only looking for around that above price, so no $400+ suggestions pls lmao.

Do you have an iPhone?
If so, just get the AirPods or the Pros. (I’d add AppleCare). They play the best in the apple ecosystem.

With android, sennheiser/bose/sony are the best premium options.

IMO, you get what you pay for on earbuds. Durability being a big part.

I was initially skeptical about airpods, but have to say they are worth the money. And I'm far from a spendy person.

For me, it's kinda out of necessity as I've gone through crazy amounts of wired earphones. I hope that the wireless ones are more sturdy somehow.

They are. Usually headphones fail at the wire-to-plastic housing connection. That doesn't exist with wireless. What you get instead is failing batteries over time. I had to replace my first gen airpods because the charging case and one of the buds could hardly hold a charge. I've been on my second gen for 2+ years now and no battery issues at all, and I use them more than I did the first gen, so I think the longevity is improving.

The Sony WF-10000xm5 are nice. Great noise cancelling, great battery life, comfortable for 3+hrs of wearing (I fly a lot), really solid music, acceptable call mic. Plus they're shockingly water resistant (I've dropped my v4 pair in 6ft of water multiple times and they still work).

I'm on my 3rd generation - I just got my v5 over the weekend and each gen has been a nice improvement over the prior one. I highly recommend.

OP is a Android user - I would suggest the Pixel Buds A-series, currently on sale for $90 at Best Buy:

I got a cheapo pair on Amazon to use with my ancient Galaxy phone and they work great. They don' get as loud as a wired set, but for $26 you can't go wrong. They have lasted me three years so far and I haven't lost one yet. If I get a really good set I'd probably lose one in a week.

Ive been using AirPods pros since they came out. Seem to work great for my needs. Had the sound go out in on one side a few times but actually just took them into Apple Store and they swapped them out for free each time. so far so good

Had AirPods and used them for a trip to Ireland. On the airplane, they did a terrible job. The fitment in my ear was either to big or two small no matter which size earpiece I tried. Therefore the noise cancelling was almost of no use.
I ended up with some Soundcore Space A40. Great fit, good sound and noise cancellation. Easy on the wallet also.
