well, ditched my ordered 335i and got a 535i sport

couldn't refuse the deal my saleslady gave me on the 535i. put it this way it's barely $20 more/month over a loaded e92 335i i priced out. it was a jet black, sports, premium, ipod/usb and steptronic. will post pictures soon.

The 535 is one of my favorite new cars simply cause its 10k cheaper than the 550, has same performance and better mileage, according to Edmunds.com. Good choice, if I had that choice I'd get the 535 too!

Enjoy.

If the choice was between a 335i sedan and 535i sedan, no question.
However, imo, it is a much harder call between the 335i coupe and 535i sedan.
If you need the two extra doors, no question but, imo, the coupe is very balanced and the overall experience is not matched by the 535i sedan (based on limited test drive experience; also, I much prefer 8 cyclinder 540iA to 535 sedan).

In any event, one must always go with one's own experience and considerations as to the best car to buy or lease.

Have fun.

And you can slap a PROcede on it Bye bye 550!

Saw one the other day. No dual exhaust (one per side) like our cars of course since they're going for the luxury look the exhaust hasn't changed.

I "thought" I went up to the M45 Sport which as you may know beats the 5 series BMW is many comparisons. Turned out, even though the raw performance numbers were great for that size car, I really felt the extra size particularly around town. The 335i Sedan is the perfect blend for me between 4 doors and size.

the 535 feels as fast as the 335 sedan. i test drove both. although i notice that the steering in the 5 is a tad lighter and the noise of the exhaust is a bit more muted. also the seats are vastly different. i actually prefer the 5er seats... great choice anyway. post pictures !

took some pictures yesterday but couldn't find my usb card reader:mad:, ordered one from amazon just right now, pics should be up soon. off the line the 535 feels kind of heavy compare to the e46s i've driven, but once the turbo kicks in the thing just pulls hard. felt no turbo lag at all, it accelerates and sounds just like the 550 v8. now the bad part, it s*cks gas big time, i've driven only 70 miles so far and it already used up a quarter tank of gas, i guess it'll be better after the car breaks in.
