lol he would love a zr1. Problem is they are going for a minimum of 25k over sticker and its going to be that way for a while. I keep showing him the thread and everyone keeps saying Porsche this Porsche that. I think he's itching to get a 997tt now.

so let the recession do it's business and, just like the GTR, you'll be able to get once at or near sticker soon enough.

Okay so he's going to get a slower, less performing car? That makes sense.

if people kept improving upon their previous car, everyone would be driving veyrons. theres nothing wrong with getting a seemingly "slower" car.

Can someone actually find a slightly used Vantage V8 (in SoCal)?

I'd actually seriously consider purchasing one if they were around for a decent price. I can't seem to find one that's not selling close to MSRP.

He's thinking about a gt500 and changing supercharger etc . Making it like 800 hp but i don't know . Seems like Z06 to a gt500 is almost going backwards. Anyone agree?
Tell your dad to quit smoking crack and stay away from the Mustang. Either get the Challenger or save some money and get the new Camaro and spend the difference on mods.

I don't know what your smoking buddy but that new challenger is god awful ugly , heavy, slow. So GT500 > Challenger ANYDAY. As for the new Camaro its pretty nice, but whatever doesn't really matter. He's really serious about 997tt and Acr.

I dunno, but the local Porsche dealership here has an '07 with about 4000 miles on it. Beautiful car.

The only reason I mentioned those cars is because you said your dad is an American Muscle fan. I was just joking about the smoking crack.

Styling is debateable on those two. Just not a mustang fan.

Good luck with your (dads) choice.

Another vote for the 997TT if he can find one in his price range. Then you can Techart it

Ebay, currently at $90k with just under 5k miles, a little under two days bidding left:
