TBF AlexFL's F97 did not look like that from the factory lol
I mean forget Alex's example. ANY X3 Competition I've seen or on the road completely stock is just a beaut! And I'm sure the LCI refresh that is coming out this year is just going to be tits

I didn’t think anyone who isn’t an internet perv watches her. Mr.AMG and Chris Harris had an interesting conversation about the new wave of internet car reviewers versus the old school journalists.

nice offering from BMW, pretty sure its sales numbers are going to look very confident resting among the likes of etron suv, eqc, ipace.

Personally I think it's really cheesy 🧀 and way too feminine. I'm sure women would like it, and I feel a woman designed it, but the question is who okayed it? But to me a car/vehicle should be unisex in interior tactile feel.

Personally I think all the plastic crystals 💎 controls are super tacky and way too blingy, I could see that design element utilized in a concept SAV, but not on a production model.
The have a crystal shifter on the 8. There is a bulletin to replace with a standard shifter if the customer wants because it is annoying as fuck when the sun hits it.

So 14 Pages and the IX has seen plenty of love thus far.
😅
Well, let us look at the numbers (who are available) and compare.
The cars who is in the IX class is the e-tron, EQC, the i-pace and the TMX.
That's the natural competition, you can ad the ID4 and Enyaq as well.
But the VW SW is a joke at this stage!

Compare range, looks, features and what not, what do you see then?
The kidney's, the look?
I miss a more balanced view on the EV industry, what is available and what can be done, BMW is not Tesla, they are trying to do their own thing.

I happen to think the IX is the right car at the ringt time.

The IX needed the 5G, which is rolling out these days, which will ensure AD and is a given in a modern EV these days.
The interiour is not BMW, but BMW i, it has the i3 DNA, spacious, modern, new materials, and a less is more approach.
The packaging in modern cars is cramped, tight and boring. The EV makes a modern car smarter, more refined.

But yes, i'm flawed since i live in Norway, what i mean by that - is that last month 80% of all new cars had a plug socket.
Still, beeing on my second i3, the IX is a logic step towards the future for BMW and the future for the car industry.

Have you now compared the numbers, what did you see, comparing the competition to the IX?
The gorgeous TMX with it's range and sub par Q?
The E-tron and it's mediocre range and weight?
The Jag is plenty fast, but it looks weird and the range..?
The MB solution then, decent but next to the techy IX it's allready old and outdated.
I3 is a great start from BMW i, the IX3 is half baked RWD solution, the IX is a more balanced modern and exciting EV.

This is not sleek and low. This is high and bulky. They know it. That's why there is a black strip along the bottom of the car to make it looks more svelte. Without it it would like like a bus.

The other weirdness is the front wheel arch flare (or lack of). The large straight down chop is trying to do 'modern' by it makes it looks tall when it needs to look less tall.

The wheel arch treatment is Peugeot 207 and its ugly.

What a mess.

While I don't think it's the sexiest electric vehicle out there, it isn't bad. I fear though, instead of bringing a capable X5-equivalent electric alternative in the $60K-$80K range, they are bringing a luxury MVUV (Mini-Van Utility Vehicle), that does not look to be any more capable than a Model X and that will most likely be priced between $100K - $120K.

Leave the RR Cullinan alone. It's a great SUV. Got one last year for my parents and they enjoy it!

It looks like the LCI X5 will get the larger grill too in future. This is a sign.
