Just found out my baby was loaded on the "Victoria Highway" yesterday with an ETA at Galveston of 11/17. I am so excited.


For those that had their cars delivered through Galveston, how long did it take you to receive your car once it made it to port in Galveston?

Mine took 2 months. It just depends on whether there is a stop sale for a missing part or not. Mine was due to the RAM stop sale. Once it was in, it took 7 days to get to the dealership.

every day until the day you pick it up, maybe even a few days after until the status updates that you took delivery.

I am right there with you. Mine is on the "Victoria Highway" right now somewhere in the Atlantic. She is out of range, and I swear I check the app 50 times a day to see when she comes back in range so I can see where she is. My baby is due to be at Galveston Port on 11/17, then to the dealer sometime after that (hopefully very shortly). I can't wait.

Enjoyed the Finnish Sun at this time of the year. With the low seating position and the tiny sun cover it's pretty much "use your hand as a shield when you want to see what's in front of you"

I would think that there aren't too many convertibles in Finland and that the Z4 is a true unicorn in the wild there!

You are right thinking that - convertibles are not the most practical thing to have here. And about the unicorn I think I've ever seen two other Z4 G29s here in the year's time I've had this one. Last time I saw one I just had to park next to it and the owner just happened to be coming back from the shops, yelling "you have a nice car" across the parking lot. Then we had a 15 minute car guy chat which was nice

Had a nice go kart session and followed by a night mountain drive,, The 'underpowered' 20i had no issue leading the 6-poppers in the twisty roads

1 - Clean the decklid using alcohol & water prep spray (1/3 alcohol, 2/3 water) & a microfiber. Did this 3 times gently to make sure there was no dirt.
1 - Used painters tape to create templates for the new badges so I wouldn’t have to guess how to locate them
2 - Heat gun on low for about a minute to make the OEM badges easy to remove (heat gun had no effect on the painters tape)
3 - Used light test fishing line to separate the badges from the tape - removed the two pieces of ‘Z4’ after getting completely behind both, but just had to get the M40i badge pieces started and then pulled each off gently (probably easy to do because badges were only applied a few weeks ago?)
4 - Spray some Rapid Remover (citrus based & safe for matte paint) on the small amount of remaining adhesive tape glue & gently use microfiber to remove - most of the adhesive tape came off by hand by gently rolling & sticking it to itself (remover had no effect on painters tape)
5 - More alcohol & water prep spray to clean the surface - then let dry
6 - Apply new badges - pressed them on by hand hard for ~ 20 seconds to make sure they seated.
7 - Gently remove painters tape. Done!

These are the part #s and prices at the time I ordered. Besides the 2 badges for the deck, I ordered black gloss M badges for the sides which I decided not to install.
