Anyone know of an aftermarket trunk mat for our Z4's that allows access to the tie downs? Perhaps I'm asking for too much...

I bought the WeatherTech trunk mat that has raised areas over the tie downs. I don't currently use the tie downs but, if I did, it would be easy to cut slots in the mat to allow the tie downs to pass through. I like that the mat has the raised areas because it decreases the odds of liquids leaking through even if slots are cut for the tie downs.

Yep, I’m going to get the weathertech (at some point). I use the tie downs, so need/want something that still allows access, but retains the ‘spill capture’ ability.

Looks like my threshold-to-order has been exceeded: ended up buying the weathertech trunk and floor mats (to replace the BMW ones, which I am not a fan of). Got them directly from Weathertech.

So is weathertech the only option other than the usual china ebay/amazon stuff?

I'm not a weathertech fan, so I would prefer something else. Any other suggestions?

I am a fan of Coco Mats... may not be everyones taste but I love them.

What is it about weathertech you don’t like? Just curious to see if I’m missing something.

Will not retain a spill can't see the value of it. Carry groceries, liquid cleaners, etc in the trunk. So far have had one spill, Oxyclean powder.

Weathertech held it all on the mat for an easy cleanup. Just lifted it out & hit it with some compressed air. With a no edge mat the powder would have been into the carpet.

Don't know it its a urban legend or not but Weathertech is supposed to be BMWUSA supplier. I do know that on my 2011 335is the only difference was BMW instead of Weathertech on the label. The mat went through a 435 & a 440 after the 335.

Too stiff for me. I prefer more of a rubber feel vs plastic; more compliant. I'm a big Tuxmat fan but they don't make a trunk mat.

I also don't like that guy because he's built a hell of a nice business and I'm jealous....
