Just fitted the MTS cold air intake to my b48 more for noise than power, it took about an hour, taking my time and trying not to damage any clips, it was a fairly easy install following the step-by-step included instructions, and is very easy to put back to stock ,the sound is much better and the throttle response seems improved .

It looks nice, glad it worked out for you. Stay on top of your oil changes. The oil tends to get dirty just a bit faster due to the type of media the filter is made of.

Thanks for the advice. I will keep up to it and clean the filter regularly fortunately in the UK, we get so much rain it’s never that dusty

Out of curiosity, did you ever consider the cold air intake from Dinan?

I like that Dinan. Are their filters oiled?

I haven’t checked and you should contact them directly to get the correct information.

Dinan also sells a cold air intake for the B58 engine that one of our members recently installed and posted pictures.

I went to their site and it doesn’t say. I never checked to see if the giant resonator on our S30is can be removed and the hole plugged to hear approximately about what it would sound like. That is the only thing holding me back. I don’t want a drone or it to be ricy or too loud all the time. ECS sells the tube on its own for $170, and I have emailed them to see if it connects to the stock airbox.
