No, continue with online but I suppose the argument is that the online teaching will have issues, potentially causing some students to struggle etc. Just passing along what I've heard but nothing official from the university.

Local Walmart and the smaller supermarket both had TP this morning, so maybe that crisis is finally beginning to pass.

The argument for pass/fail is that some students might not be able to learn the same in an online format, so it is unfair to use the in-person grading standard and possibly destroy their GPA. Plus, the use of tests online has a possibility of cheating, so pass/fail works both ways. Our school has not made decisions about room/board refunds or pass/fail yet, but the president's last campus announcement said that both were being discussed and promised a resolution by April 6th.

Time to logon in a few minutes, to see how many of the slacker profs didn't utilize the spring break week to ready themselves for online instruction today. Like professors, like students.....

The current chatter here now is that strong chance it will be a class by class basis instead of the semester. That would be the most optimal solution personally, but I'm also willing to forgo my easy classes to get the credit on some harder classes

Still none at Publix unless it sold out before I stopped in. They did have some Kleenex, perishables and fresh bread.

Stopped in Publix just an hour ago to pick up a prescription (of course I get poison ivy right as we get pushed into quarantine...). Figured I’d grab a few things. No TP and they got disinfectant on buy one get one free. Why???? Now everything is wiped out.

The hoarders are already swimming in TP, no need for them to hoard more.

I was reading a .edu professional journal article this morning, pointing out that pass/fail across the board is not an option at the moment. Some of the professional majors and accreditation organizations are holding firm on standard grading or the credits are worthless. It sounds like pass/fail is going to be an ongoing issue playing out nationally over the next few weeks, as it is not a local school's unilateral decision.....

Just went to the local grocery store. They had pretty much everything except for any paper products including toilet paper paper towels and tissues.

Frozen section and tp are raided, other than that business like usual. Listening to the news one would think things are much worse.

Weird stuff missing here. Although I think it's because the stores just aren't ordering some stuff. Almond milk is one of those hard to find items now. Iced coffee/tea, some fresh juices, big boxes of canned cat food. Very odd.

I went to Walmart yesterday morning. I got to the front of the building and saw these two guys walking out. One had a green mohawk, the other had a Red mohawk. They only bought one thing. Each of these fine specimens of humanity was carrying a big package of TP.

Same here. There are certain "brands" of things that I buy and they will be out. I watch it as there may be 2-3 items left, I buy one and the next time they are down to 1-2. If I buy the last one.....then it doesn't show back up for awhile while the same thing in another brand is over-running the shelf.

I think sometimes that the people ordering don't look close enough as they will just see an item sitting in place, but not notice it doesn't match up because someone else was too lazy to put back something they picked up in the correct spot!

Costco run yesterday. Dunno if they're all doing it but the one I went to had their isht together. Single file line to enter, limit to the number of customers in the store at one time, people wiping down everything everywhere -- even the gas pump handles. First rate care for customers and their employees based on what I saw. Impressive.

I went to the Costco in Teterboro NJ yesterday. They had all the water you could ever want, but the only paper product they had was napkins. I have loads of TP from mistakingly double-buying in December, plenty of napkins, good supply of tissues. I'm low on paper towels, and on my reserve toilet wipes I took out of my travel Dopp kit. I'll say screw it and buy some Preparation H wipes if the flushable kind don't show up soon.
