Glass iDrive controller and gear shift knobs retrofitted and other nuts

We have retrofitted the following for my g29 z4 m40i:
- Glass buttoned radio control
- Glass iDrive Controller
- Glass Gear Shift Knob
- Glass Start/Stop Engine button
- high black sorrounding
- Sport/Comfort/Eco Pro/etc buttons cannot be retrofitted from the equal buttoned 8 series unit as those buttons works differently and the original motherboard does not control them)

(Units came from 8 series and had to change the motherboard from old units to new one to work properly. No error codes, can be software upgraded and works well).

Already installed some painted parts, see photos. Hope you like them.

I have the glass for the I drive control but I for the life of me I could get the original off, even with the tool they supplied, how did you manage it?
Thanks

I purchased a whole I Drive controller with glass buttons and then changed the motherboard of the iDrive controller not the glass button itself. Not the easiest way, but can be done. And the advanteg of using the original motherboard of a given controller that you do not need the code the units again and can be software updated.

I hope this helps....
