Perf exhaust is part of the Z51 package which is $5k. So you'd get $5 back from your $65,000 bill. And no, I'm not factoring in OTD pricing, we were talking car prices, not OTD prices.

The performance exhaust is a stand alone option for $1,200 if you don't want the rest of the Z51 package. Interesting that even the base care has a dry sump now, but would come on all seasons and be down 5hp and 5tq to a Z51.

However the magnetic ride control is an additional $1,895 over the standard Z51 suspension.

The continuing $20k discount and new Indy Yellow still won't improve sales. I had a 2017 NSX up until last week that was a Lemon Law buyback. The original MSRP on my car was $206.5k. I got $52k off the sticker and then I got an amazing lease deal for 3/32k and only $0.20 per mile over. However customer service was terrible, and corporate Acura had little interest in dealing with customers like myself who had numerous problems with the car.

If anyone is interested in getting one, wait until the end of 2020 when hundreds will be coming off lease. I expect the resale value to be in the high $80's. Right now the MMR is around $118k for low mileage cars.

And of all the cars I chose to replace it with, was assuming a lease posted here on a 2018 M3. I should be a bonafide member/owner in two weeks.

I recognize your username.

I still have my place in line. However I also really need back seats for my 7yr old twins. But I do see myself owning a C8 in the next year or two as a weekend toy.

Very small world. I'm still keeping my deposit on the C8. I have an appointment to place my order, but now I don't need to be first on the block. I also needed a daily driver ASAP, so the M3 fits that void very well. I have a nice refund check from Acura that I can hold on to for a while longer towards the C8.

It ended up being the perfect timing for me with how this all worked out for me.

Yes. It was sitting for eight months on the showroom floor. I tried to negotiate a few times previously, but they wouldn't budge. Then the big discount hit and other dealers were also giving big discounts so I used that as leverage.

Said nobody ever. That's the problem. People in this price range are not at a 'price point', they can shell another 20k to get the next best thing, like a red thing with a horse on the hood or something.

Those that have had this generation NSX. How's the maintenance? I spoke to one my long time acura/Honda tech guys and claims maintenance is ridiculously expensive and to steer clear.

People have said this plenty of times before, but it needs to be repeated. If Honda was smart, they should have removed the electric motor and made it a $120k car. As it currently stands, it doesn't have the brand cachet or performance for a $160k - $200k car.

^Sadly, I think it's too late for that. We're like half way into a typical 10 yr life cycle.

On another note, I think it's safe to say that the convertible and rumored Type-R version have been shelved.

IMO $120k is still too much. Nissan can't sell GTR's at that price. They needed to build a car that was in the price range of the new Supra, upcoming Nissan Z car and Corvette and even at that I'm not convinced it would have been a major sales success. I just don't think there's much of a market for high end Japanese sports cars.

Easy for you to say since hindsight is 20/20.

You have no idea what is smart for Honda, and pretending that you do just makes you look like an idiot (not that you are, just that you look like one).

Do better than Honda in their situation, then you can say what's smart or not.

I’m an idiot for giving my opinion on what Honda can do to sell more cars? What’s the point of everyone reading and contributing to a car forum if everyone shuts up and toe the company line? I wonder if you’re just a jackass online or like this in real life.

If it was cheaper they would have probably have sold more. The closest thing is maybe a Lexus LC?

If you’re going to step into the big boy price range arena, you better have a generational car to get people interested. This is not that. Looks nice and will be ok when it’s $60-70k

Yes, it's a timeless look. The new one looks bloated and still hanging onto that ugly bird beak. It's my opinion, and you are entitled to yours as well.

There's as much of a market for a high priced Honda as BMWs.

BMWs been trying to compete at a price point that they just can't and continue to fail at.

But I guess that's not pointed out on a BMW forum. I wonder what the Honda forum has to say about this. Lol.
