Knocked out a mellow 15 miles today on my FX3. Just a simple cruise back and forth along the bike trail. I hit my mileage goal for the week, but still might get out again tomorrow morning if I can get my lazy butt motivated.

Concerning my bike I fitted a shorter reach headstock with spacers to raise the height more and with upright slanted towards me Funn handlebars bringing it closer to my reach to suit my frame and riding style more.
The alloy framed Carrera is a boon and much lighter than the very old metal framed bike I had before which I will probably take to the dump.
Just ordered some Bolle UV tinted riding glasses, using normal sunglasses is not the same. If you haven't ridden..for quite a while your behind needs time to adjust I'll say, and after a few rides with breaks in between then it's go.
I find it's best not to think too much whether to go for a ride just do it and I don't use any timing clock or mileage counter.

Bit more about my bike. It's a '19 Carrera V as stated,Large frame size with 6061 T6 alloy main frame with reinforcing brackets welded onto front and rear stress points .
24 speed Shimano/SRAM gears and twin Tektro mechanical disc brakes. SR Suntour xcm front stanchions make it easy on your wrists and extremely pleased with riding this with the repositioned handle bars.Quick release system on front and rear wheels.

Been a lot of talk about what the best lube is for the chain and I chose GT85 with PTFE said to keep your bike clean and perfect for cables and gear op slides.
You shouldn't use WD40 as a chain lubricant.

Received my tinted Bolle riding glasses and must say they're a cut above the cheapies, nice and comfy you don't know you have them on.Would go for a ride now but too much work in the gardens while the weathers nice.

Got out this morning before the heat came in. Little bit windy, but it was mostly a crosswind.

Same here. Been dodging storms for rides and walks all week.

Rain stopped so would have been the best time to go and say hello to Brownie on the route again but it's school run time so will skip it until tomorrow..want to try out the gear changes better after they've been lubed with some fresh GT85 spray lube.

Tonight the humidity finally receded. Dry(ish) and mid-70's. Knocked out 16 miles on local roads. Looking forward to tomorrow morning's ride. Supposed to be cool and dry again.

Whew temps shot up to 25C outside, no wind so nothing for it but another 15 mi bike burn after a salad and sm mackerel lunch to keep the BP low just waiting for the school run brigade to let up ...and I'll take some bread for Brownie.
