I've had two lower back surgeries, 6'0" 200 lbs. Seat comfort is one of my primary considerations in searching for a car. This is the most comfortable seat I've ever driven in, and is comparable to my F-150 Lariat.

Zero complaints from me, I did some 10 hour trips earlier this year and was quite comfortable.

Ditto, lower lumbar fusion with screws/rods, was the 2nd op after a "non invasive" surgery failed. These are some of the most comfortable seats of any I've owned! 210#, 5'11".

Funny you should compare the comfort to a pickup. My 2010 Tundra/extra cab seats were super comfortable too.

I will say, between the Z4, M440i, M850i and X2 M35i, the X2 had the most comfy seats.

Yeah my F-150 is super supportive and comfortable. It just lacks in customization. Only has one lumber control. But yeah its like a Lazy Boy, wish I could just take a nap sometimes haha.

I thought I would check back in to see if anyone has this figured. I’ve owned this car since last summer and hate driving it because it’s so insanely uncomfortable. The car drives great. It’s lovely. Everything works as expected, but I haven’t even made it to 3,000 miles yet because I can’t imagine driving it for more than 20 minutes. And yes, it’s my only car. Well, my wife has a lovely Volvo wagon.

I’ve owned dozens of cars and have never, ever had this problem. I’ve tried every imaginable setting on the seat. Some feel better for a few minutes but then it’s back to being the same. I can’t wait to get out of the car. No clue what to do. It’s not like I can buy something else with the market as it is these days.

I guess I need a trip to the dealer but I’ve been putting it off because that means three hours round trip. Bummed… I want to LOVE this thing.

Once you go over to your dealer to see if they can adjust the seat let us know the results.

Sorry to hear that you find them uncomfortable, I'm 5'7" and 210 and find the seats very comfortable and I usually have a hard time finding a comfortable office chair due to my back pain. Considering how great the car is if I didn't find the seats comfortable I'd be looking for after market ones. Considering how adjustable the seats are I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer finds something wrong with it.

For me, these seats are very comfortable. We have some longer trips in the coming months, so will have more opportunity to compare them to other cars we've owned.

At 6-foot, I am very comfortable in the car. It took me a few goes and a 3 hour road trip to find the right setting. Once you do, save it in memory 1! The seat belt interference was the worst, but a simple readjust of the belt took care of that.

I’m 6’1” 275……yeah bit too fat. Still I love the seats. I commute about an hour each way and always feel fine. Several 500+ mile road trips and no fatigue.

My issue is the steering reach is a bit to far. Have wheel telescoped all the way out.

The seat belt cuts across my neck and is still an issue, please let me know what you did to fix it.

I manually move it under the collar of my shirt. If wearing a t-shirt, I pull the bely out a little and place it on the shoulder. It stays like that for the trip.

I find my Z4 seats are quite comfortable. I do have issue with the X6 seats because the bottom side bolsters are too firm and press into my leg.

My wife riding in the passenger seat also complained about the seatbelt being uncomfortable on her neck. We bought a "seatbelt adjuster" (from Amazon) which is a small clip-like item that snaps on the seatbelt and adjusted the angle of the belt so that it crosses more over the shoulder rather than the neck. It seems to work.

I'm unaware of the belt unless I lean toward the door. I tend to sit/lean toward the center console.

Would you please post a picture and a link to the Amazon item?
