That's a shame, it's a very competitive open wheel series that doesn't rely on a manufactured gimmick (DRS) for one car to pass another. Indycar's "push-to-pass" allows the lead driver a defense that a F1 driver could only dream about having.
I think only having two manufacturers is what turns me off. Plus I don't like Honda or Chevy brands. I'll try to watch more but kinda hard to match the drama of F1. I do like GRO so that's a plus.

So the real question is do you think Herta could make the move?

Very funny meme, MK (and true).

Ferrari does seem to make some boneheaded calls sometimes, but the conditions today were incredibly tricky and caught more than one driver out during the last ten or so laps.

I don't know what the big deal is with Ham moaning and complaining,even Wolff said in the after race interview he would have fell down the order more with the original tyres like Ocon was doing.It's just exposing more a big weakness in him.
Having a secret out of the blue ''jet-mode' as well as the bendy front wing and plenum chamber trick on the straights needs to be investigated by FIA just like Ferrari were in 2019.

Very True.

It was very tricky and I was watching the telemetry to see if they would reach the crossover point to slicks. This is, what I imagine, HAM was waiting for. It would have been a masterstroke had it worked. Looking at BOTs fastest lap time of 1:30.XX, had the race been 5 more laps, or started 30 minutes earlier, slicks would have been on. The crossover was at BOT fastest lap time.

It was risk management vs going for it all. HAM wanted to go for it all and the pit wall intervened. It was the opposite of the previous race. Sometimes you nail it, sometimes you don't. All in all they scored more points in the WCC ($) and are only 6 points behind in the WDC. HAM came from 11th to finish 5th after some VERY tough battles in the midfield against everything RBR could throw against him in that race. He showed his quality.

It has been that way throughout the years, depending on the individual driver/team. Alesi stated that he would everything to help Shumacher/Ferrari win with his battle with Villeneuve/Williams.

In regards to Marko's remark that Alonso was going to help Verstappen, that simply is not true. He raced Ham at Hungary hard and he raced and overtook Max at Sochi before the rain came. He is racing hard for himself and the team, as every driver should.

The only driver aggressively challenging everyone on the grid is Mazespin, best blue flag fighter on the grid.

Lando (lap 10) and Stroll (lap 9) slowest lap of the race (excluding pit in and out laps) was the lap Hammy gained the position on them. All of a sudden both driver dropped a 1 second off their current pace, which they both regained the very next lap. Data doesn’t lie, nor does Yuki.

Rain was the great equalizer here, Lewis expected a runaway win with the massive acceleration advantage (150-300 km/h) and he may have already crafted a storyline and winning speech (to match Max’s Sochi). His frustration of driving a dominate car behind the mid pack resonated with each radio call and in some of his overtake moves on Checo.

Give a listen to the radio when hammy pitted, his breathing seems very labored. Difficult conditions for race day, but he sounded completed out of breath.

Here is Ocon’s front tire, not great.

Agreed, but the MERCs midrange acceleration post-Silverstone, from speeds 150 to 300 km/h remain unmatched even when MERC runs big downforce. You’d expect tires to degrade but that isn’t happening either. Great package from the factory.

Newey is back after several (weeks recovering from a significant biking accident), he needs to get to work, or pray for rain.

Didn't know he had a biking accident, thought he was just taking time off.
I know he had a huge 180mph crash at Le Mans some years back but escaped injury.
