Most museums are closed on Mondays in Europe. The BMW Museum as well. The Welt and Factory will be open though.

I would suggest to visit the Museum either on Sunday or Tuesday... its really worth while.

Yea that was us, my girlfriend and I picked up the BSM M4 vert with black interior and black rims. We went all over Europe, starting at Oktoberfest, working our way through Austria, Italy, Monaco and France. It was an unbelievable trip!

I had Wolfgang (our really wonderful M Delivery Specialist) sign the most recent issue of Automobile Magazine, which features the cover story "BMW at 40 in the U.S.," and has a wonderful article on the impact of M3s in the past 27 years.

Here are a quick few points (I'll do a complete write up when I get back stateside):

--I got PSS, Joseph (CosmosMPower) got Contis, so it seems to be luck of the draw.

--DO THE FACTORY TOUR. It's like a science fiction movie. Absolutely unbelievable to see the technology at work. Carve out a whole day to go to the Premium Lounge, take the Factory tour, see the Museum, and take delivery of your car. It's an experience of a lifetime. BMW does it right.

--I got the HK speaker, the key chain, the voucher for the stopwatch (which you can pick up at the Marianplatz downtown right next to the Metro stop), the free vests, and a $10 Euro voucher I used for a great coffee cup.

--Go to Prague in the Czech Republic. We are there now, and it is simply stunning, especially at night. It was one of the few cities not bombed in either WW, and it looks live every single building is 400 - 600 years old. (And as an aside, on the way into town we saw what I am certain was an M3 in Italian Grigio Tesletto gray, a special order color which appears elsewhere on this site).

--Germans LOVE Ms I had dozens of people wave, give thumbs up, slow down, speed up, cheer, and say how much they love the car, and I'm only in day 2! Had a dude in the passenger seat in a brand new Mercedes SUV hang out the window at 100 plus MPH on the Autobaun to give me a double thumbs up. He was so animated that I thought he was going to fall out of the car!

I have to say, it's even more amazing than I thought. It changes color depending on the lighting, time of day, and angle. It has a deep blueish purple look that pictures just don't capture. I love it! As I said in another post, I can wait to get it home so I can park it in my driveway or garage, set up a lawn chair, and just stare at it for hours on end. But to be honest, the M3 looks amazing in practically any color!

I love BMW blues. Yours is the boldest of all of them. My 335 was Montego Blue. It did the same thing, different color in different light, the purple came out at night.

Am I missing anything with the Museum being closed on a Monday? I will still do the other tour (factory?) after delivery of the car.

I just plan to sign for it and have them ship it from there. I only have a short trip (fly out of California on 11/21, return 11/28) and don't want to deal with M+S rental. Can I still take it for a spin around the facility anywhere?

FYI guys... the other day we had light snow in the Nurnberg area(3 hours North of Munich). There was even more snow at the 'Ring(some 500kms away). It was all gone a few hours later. But it is kind of cold in the mornings. I know some of the passes are also closed like Timmelsjoch in Solden, Austria. Most likely in a day or two they will open back up. Just be mindful of black ice and snow, while on ED.

Lows are around ~3'C and highs are in the 8'C to 12'C range right now.
