Offer?!
Recently I keep getting letter from local BMW that offers me perk to upgrade my 21 Z4 to 24, but I thought all new BMWs come w 4 years /50,000 miles warranty and 3 yrs ultimate care. So how is that a perk? They are prob desperately trying to sell …

It's a benefit because you'll restart the timer on those. Of course, almost certainly not worth the money it'd take to do it.

It's a standard tactic. I've been getting them for years. They typically start around the time your car is 2 years old.
They need used cars to sell. If you trade yours in, they get a new car sale and a car for their used lot. And they'll probably make more money selling the used car than the new. It's what dealerships do.

I also started to receive several offers on a monthly basis from my dealer's "Portfolio Manager" when my M40i was approaching 2 years old.
They are clueless with their offers because they inform me about the balance of my loan when it has already been paid off months ago. In their offer they have really undervalued my car and must think their average customer is not aware of what the market pricing would be for a CPO like my Z4 which only has 10,000 miles. I told their "Portfolio Manager" I would contact my salesman when I am ready for a new car. |

They are in the business of selling new cars, just like every other dealer.
With the used car market so high, it makes it very profitable to sell a new car with a trade-in.
