Is Thundernight Metallic the new hot color?
When I looked at the Z4 the color that I was immediately attracted to was Misano Blue. It really popped, was a head turner so I ordered it.
When Thundernight Metallic was initially introduced on the M240i I looked at it at my dealer and wasn't sure if it was a keeper. In fact I even talked a close friend out of ordering it as we both thought that after a year he would get tired of looking at it. After much discussion he switched to Portimao Blue instead. Now that Thundernight Metallic is available on the Z4 my opinion has changed. This is a great color for a roadster and would be my first choice if I was ordering a Z4 today. |

Hah!
Yes, I'm going to say that I think Thundernight Metallic is the hot new color, and for good reason as it looks great. And I expect to see more than a few Z4s in this color on the road over the next few years. That said, part of the reason I ended up with Frozen Grey is that I appreciate low profile colors that make it easy for a car to disappear and not be easily noticed in traffic. So even if I am pro-TM as a colorway, I'm not convinced I'd pull the trigger myself. |

I say no.
Too flashy for me, I would love to see mineral grey metallic, but frozen grey does pop in a subtle way. I received many compliments and people believe it is a wrap. |

No, that’s not the one, I’m familiar with it. I did a little checking and it could be Brooklyn Grey.

I think you are referring to Brooklyn Grey, BMW considers it a metallic color.

You mean purple?
(BMW does seem to have the widest ranging color palette to suit every taste - just not on specific cars).

I really do love that Thundernight. Brooklyn Gray is also really nice IMO.
