It's all personal preference, if it works for him, great, his money, his car. I understand the car and mods weren't cheap, but the look makes it appear cheap. If someone had put an aftermarket bumper and hood on a Civic and then wrapped it matte black, no one would start a thread about how "beastly" it is. Doing it to a Cayenne doesn't make the mods any better.

My point is just that the mods didn't improve the car. I'm sure he could pick up girls in a stock Cayenne. But being 23 and wealthy pretty much explains the look of the car "hey look at me!".

There's a local Ferrari 458 that's wrapped in gold chrome vinyl and it's hideous. Guy dropped $250K on the car and probably $10K on the wrap. Does the fact that he spent so much money justify questionable taste?

I know the owner very well. He is 23, very wealthy and has a few cars.

I personally like the car I gotta say. Maybe in person it looks better. I like how the orange accent goes all the way through from the front to the rear exhaust in one line. The stock GTS is too boring. This one has obviously the bumper, hood, straight exhaust and the matte metallic black wrap (the first black metallic wrapped car in the US.)

And without spending much money I would say is relative. The car was $50k and the mods about $12k.

I think it is a beast and not comparable to a Caprice on 30s And as far as I know... the car works very well if you guys understand what I mean

Haha I get the point but I don't think the Cayenne looks bad like this. It's unique and yeah it stands out. There is always a risk of getting bad feedback, but I guess for him at least it's better than no feedback. But interesting to hear the Bimmer Community on this.

Style is relative and individual... There's really no right and wrong, IMO, only degrees of "wow."

Not my cup of tea.....it's ugly. It reminds me of the racing colored version of the Aston Martin.....there's one in the Marina that drives around that is white and has Orange accents. Yuck. Seems too overdone and trying to hard to be sporty. But hey, to each his own

No. Looks cheap. Ugly body kit, cheap looking matte paint and what's with the orange in the paint? Leaving the stock wheels on is an odd decision after upgrading the rest.

You might think it's ghetto, others think it's amazing. But when I see them on autogespot or IG, they tend to have Russian plates. As long as tne owner likes it, who cares what others think, right?

My objection was about labeling a bad taste as a feature of the nation which I know better than you. Believe me or not.
You provided three disconnected assumptions and all of them are banalities. That's why I don't buy it.

A feature of a nation? It's unbelievable how sensitive people have gotten these days about "labels". It'll get to a point where you simply won't want to say anything to anyone anymore as you might be afraid to offend them about the littlest shit.

It's simple mate: the person who originally said that the Russians love this stuff is simply taking what they have seen online in the form of websites, forums, YouTube videos, Facebook and Instagram and making a generalization. I agree with him, as I have seen it also. When I see crazy body kits like this on cars on the internet, most of them have Russians plates.

Got it, man. I am a damn sensitive person, do you know why? Because people mostly don't know a fuck about each other so they just substitute a real knowledge with fake public patterns. And I know some folks here and there who is eating propaganda crap for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So what.

You know, 99% of porn movies in internet are filmed in a particular language. According to you, the generalization logic is: the women speaking that language are whores.

Really tired of that useless offtop dispute, sorry, didn't want to offend you or anybody else.

I get it mate, but you have to be honest with yourself in the fact that it's often all we have. Look at 15 or 20 years ago. What did we know about other countries? Probably much less than today, right? And is it a good thing? Maybe not. Now we have social media, news outlets from all over the world with their own agendas, it's really information overload. When a certain outlet is all we see, then we're going to make generalizations.

Take for example Youtube. We'll watch videos all day about Russian accidents or road rage incidents. Does it mean that all Russians crash during the day and fight on the street? Probably not. But that's often what we see.

And your porn example is correct mate: when someone watches porn and 99% of them speak with an American or Eastern European accent, then we're going to make generalizations. Completely normal.

But I'm a grown man, and I try to expand a bit more beyond that. I actually subscribe to channel on Youtube called REAL RUSSIA. Have you heard of it? It's this kid in Russia that makes videos of daily life in Russia. He debunks stereotypes (like that Russians are drunk off vodka all day) and really puts things in perspective. At least, for me. Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/user/realrussiablog
