Cargo Liner

I just ran across this cargo liner on Amazon with a very attractive price:

G29 Premium Cargo Liner

I own the Weathertech liner and am very happy with it but, at nearly half the cost of the Weathertech liner, this liner from Amazon may be worth a look, especially considering it is eligible for free return.

I've posted pictures on other forums, so I'll spare you most of them. But here's what I've done so far!
- AC Schnitzer springs and spacers - lowered the car 13mm and gave it a wider track
- Weathertech Trunk liner
- Sub/Amp JL Audio box with knob to control sub
- Matte XPEL PPF full front and sides
- Full ceramic coating (body and wheels)

I'll post mine here and update as I add:

1) Covercraft sunshade - have owned these for many years. Custom cut for each car, so generally fits great and a luxury experience compared with the cheap one size fits all versions. Last one lasted 9 years and was still in great shape when I sold the car. Covercraft Sunscreen cost is $99.99 plus around $10 shipping

2) Cocomats: final choice and order is pending. Review and pics coming.

3) Dashcam: final choice and order/install is pending. Will add review and pics when available.

4) Not sure if "accessory" but I put on full Ceramic Pro Kavaca PPF, interior ceramic including seats and Kavaca window tint 70%. So far is great but car is still new. Total cost for me was $7980.00 Kavaca PPF

Where did you get that? I have a neighborhood cat that likes to sleep on the top and would like to get it protected somehow.

Im a strong believer the a cover should only be put an a clean car, so a full cover doesn't work for my use at current. But i really wanted something for my top as my car sits in the sun at the office every day.

So i had an old Evolution 3 cover from a prior car and simply took some scissors to it. Bought a 5 pound weighted jump rope and had it sewn in the seam around the back from door to door.

Works like an absolute champ.

I can't recall what car the cover is from but it fits perfectly where needed but it didn't fit in full format.

If i needed to do it again, I'd buy a custom fit Evolution 4 cover and repeat the process....although it would be harder to do to a brand new cover.

With respect to the cat, I'd be a little worried about the weight on the top over time as well as scratching through the top.

Buy a scatmat. Cat will jump up there once and then probably never again. Doesn’t hurt them but they learn quickly.

We had a cat that liked to sleep on the top of our M Roadster. I bought 3 beach towels in Red, Purple, and Bright Blue, had them sewed together in the proper order, and threw the cover on the top when I got home. It was heavy enough that cat didn't pull it off.

Of course, the Z top is larger than the M Roadster so that might not work.

Are those a cat’s least favorite colors?

All I got:
--Supra mudflaps. You have to drill them but it's not hard, and they do seem to prevent rocks from getting kicked up. Would do again.
--BMW Z4 rubber floormats (Part no. 51472461171C). They trap dirt and debris and are easy to clean.
--BMW trunk floor net (51-47-0-010-557). Not so crazy about this. It does work if you can fit stuff under it, but it doesn't stretch enough to fit a large bag of groceries under it. I think I need to buy some sort of trunk box w/ velcro bottom to keep things from moving.

[QUOTE="my_3rd_z;30329728"]Where did you get that? I have a neighborhood cat that likes to sleep on the top and would like to get it protected somehow.

My solution was a farmers fence generator to give it a shock that wouldn’t kill it, but something to remember.

First time it took 6 weeks to come back. The second time is a year ago now haha.

I have read about custom black badging. Does anyone know a source for those? I’m not keen on the anniversary badging, it looks weak and fussy to me and black badging might look better in my eyes.

getBMWParts (a BMW dealer) has them: the Z4 badge and the M40i badge are sold separately.

Are you talking about the roundel? If so, here is one source: https://ind-distribution.com/collect...on-bmw-roundel

I ordered my gloss black trunk badges for my M40i from IND Distribution. They also have the gloss black side badges. They shipped my order the same day I placed the order.

Click on the drop down arrow in the options area to add the M40i badge to the Z4 badge order.

Do you have a link to the mud flaps by any chance? Most i find are universal or from Europe....

Thank you

I have installed several options, but one of the ones I like the best is very simple - the Red Start/Stop and Volume buttons from IND distribution. $30 for the first and $25 for the second.

Just a couple pops of red, but it really makes a difference. And the car goes faster!
