Think on the black car they would disappear. That said already took of the silverish front trim & grill for black parts so will never say never.

I also like the look of the side badges. Not necessarily to flaunt the M badge thinking it's a true M car (entry level is all), but because honestly I've always felt that the car looked kinda naked without the badging on the side there. Maybe because the first time I saw the G29 it had the badges... I dunno.

I just feel it looks better. If there are M badges everywhere else on my car and outside of my car then what's two more? Outside of the US they put the M badges on the 20i and 30i if you get the M Sports Package as well.

A Roush Stage 1 is still a Roush and therefore wears the Roush badging/decaling. Not so different from an M550i, M440i, M40i. It is by all technicalities considered an entry level M.

Need to compare prices... I'm asking my shop if they can do it either way tbh.

I assume the M40i badge on the X3 and X4 is the same for the Z4 M40i.

IND sells the Genuine BMW OEM gloss black side badges for $71 and the gloss black Z4 and M40i trunk badges for $128 plus shipping. Your dealer should also be able to order them through their parts department and have someone in their shop install them on your new baby.

Curious - Did you get the pry kit & what is in it? Also what is a dealer charge for the install.

I did mine, standard shiny units, but would be nice to know it I decide to upgrade to the black parts.

I dunno yet. I've only just started coordinating with dealer for my M40i upgrade.

The shop that installed my PPF did this for me. If you do switch to the gloss black badges, make sure you put them on before you use ceramic coating or they will not stick properly. 😉
