Depends in which turn they were running in ..In turn 4 the front tires suffered a lot .
By exceeding the track limits at turn 4 , HAM could spare his front tires .

he lost time in that screenshot mate.. he accelerated on sand basically.. and actually gap got smaller after that mistake he had.. braked too late before that thats all..

Mate . That is correct . By my picture from above I wanted to show , it was NOT only in turn 4 that HAM exceeded the track limits .

Check the drivers lines from HAM vs MAX ! HAM ran at least 3 meters off the track !

Wherever it was . It was a track limit as well . HONDA and Red Bull sent images to the FIA where HAM exceeded the track limits by +/- 5 meters !
Regarding HAM's infractions : A lot of discussions are still going on at the FIA !

So which lap shows Hamiltons lap times suddenly increase by 0.3/0.5 secs a lap after he stops exceeding track limits at turn 4?
Doesn't seem to show on the chart of lap times?

Verstappen lost the GP with his usual incompetence...getting on the throttle too hard while passing Hamilton and going off track at turn 4 as a result.

According to the race regulations : Racing is running within the track limits . 29 times HAM didn't , while he was warned twice during the race for exceeding the track limits for at least 3 meters !

You can see yourself Bongo from M Powers' pic that it wasn't only in T4 that hammy was going off track. It's these little misdemeanours that kept him just ahead.

Yes my friend,we must remember what Chandhook and the others said in that it will take Checo about 4 races more to get on real terms with the 16B to keep Bottas in check.
