The parking brake on my Z4 (2019) seems to be stuck and will not release since a few days ago.

The get the car to release the handbrake, I step on the brake pedal, put the car into drive, and then press the Auto Handbrake button, which seems to automatically release the parking handbrake.

From a lot of the posts I've read, they seem to be related to the software upgrade from last week around the same time.

Any ideas?

I use mine daily and it has worked fine so far engaging and disengaging.

Is this something happening to other BMW’s? I didn’t realize there was a software update, what version are you on?

Can I ask what posts you have read and where? Is it a general BMW issue rather than Z4 specific?
