No incentives or discounts on 2021 builds?
Made an offer today, pretty pathetic come back - 4% off MSRP and "there are no incentives from BMW right now" so says my client advisor regarding 2021 builds. New game he says with the Covid thing going ya know. No loyalty discount, paltry $500 BMW finance discount. Guess I'm spoiled as I got multi discounts off the new release X5 2019 2 years ago starting with 8% off MSRP on a new build and a bunch of discounts on top of that.
With so many unemployed folks, dealers must be hurting for biz, no matter what the make and model. |

Minor changes and maybe a slight price increase. https://www.carindigo.com/news/2021-...mpg-and-rivals Last edited by Mixitt; 08-11-2020 at 09:35 AM.. |

The automobile market is just plain weird right now under Covid. Intuitively, we should expect great deals as demand for expense new toys like the Z4 decreases. There is high unemployment, and the economy generally in shambles.
But this does not appear to be happening. The manufacturers closed plants and they are now back up and running at a lower capacity then before (generally supplier constraints), so the supply of new cars is way down. For those in the economy that are still employed, their spending on travel and entertainment is way down, so they are looking for other purchases for entertainment, like frivolous roadsters. The net result is that deals are few and far between. Dealerships have more customers than cars, so prices are going up. Welcome to the strange Covid induced world of 2020 where everything is upside down. |

Glad I got mine right as things were starting to go downhill. I enjoyed it on some unusually empty roads on long road trips. And, I got a great deal at the time!
I was wondering if maybe I should have waited, but this post validates the decision to pick one up when I did. |

BMW San Antonio, the largest in the U.S. is not selling cars. Their huge inside and outside lots are flooded with cars. They've had the same Z4 stock for months.
I think the CA's Covid drama is a ruse, an emotional play. I've got the money to pay cash. I'm just not gonna be goaded into paying more than I have to. |
