Oil film inside engine bay

2020 Z4 M40i

I was checking under the hood today and noticed there is an oil film forming inside the engine bay. It's especially noticeable on the top and at the rear weather seal. But, you can see evidence of it elsewhere.

I checked the oil level and it's still full. My car has 5000kms on it.

Thoughts?

Take the plastic off & check the valve cover gasket. Car should be under warranty you can always have the dealer check it out.

I left the car at the dealership on monday and the service advisor seemed to think it's just oil from an 'engine dressing' that was applied on delivery. I told him I didn't agree. Since I did not have an appointment, I told them to keep the car until they figure out the problem, or at least tell me it's not a leak anywhere.
