Ship Assignment
My Z4 is now in transit from factory to the port. When assigned to a ship, will My BMW tracking display what ship it has been loaded onto?

My M40i is expected to arrive in Baltimore today! To get information on the ship you can inquire with your SA. He will be able to tell you which ship.

Thank you German 1967 for answering my question. I have a planned delivery for July 10th at Performance Center. When it shows as "in transit," will contacr my salesman to get ship info so that I can track the ship for fun.
Exciting day for you with Baltimore arrival, won't be long from now when you will be smiling from ear to ear. Enjoy! |

I can confirm. Mine just went back to "at port" status (well it arrived already there on May 24th). According to my SA a carrier has yet to be assigned for delivery to dealership. I guess it will take another week or so until arrival.

How to determine ship?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but who is the "SA" to inquire about the ship? mine just changed status from "awaiting carrier assignment" to "dispatched from factory". would be cool to track it as it makes its way to California - thanks for any guidance.

SA is your sales associate.
Also, you can use an app like Marine Traffic, to track your ship along the way. With my F10 M5 I even got the Panama Canal to tell me when the boat was passing through so I could see it on the web cams. Lol

Anyone know roughly how long it usually takes for vehicles to make it from the port when they first arrive, to the dealership? My Z4 is due to arrive at the Galveston port at 4AM on 18 September!

Mine arrived at Port Hueneme (Los Angeles area) on a Tuesday and arrived at the dealer in Denver, Co exactly 1 week later. It took 3 days from the time it arrived at the port before it was released to the carrier.

It's been a long wait for me already! I ordered in June and did ED from 9 July to 16 July. Probably a little over 10 weeks between the end of my trip, and when my car will arrive at my local dealer. But I feel your pain - the wait is awful! Well worth it though based on my driving experience overseas.

Mine's in transit, going to NY harbor, I expect. We live up in Endicott, near Binghamton, S of Syracuse. Any idea of ocean crossing time and time from NY to us? Thanks, can't wait, obviously.

You need to find out what ship your car is on and then you will know the schedule. You can also track the ship.
