My vehicle is showing In-Transit!! But it is also showing that the Receiver Audio Module still needs to be installed. So, maybe they are going to do that at the dealership?

This has been an ordeal.

Yeah, that's a really good point. They probably will. They have a huge BMW facility there for just that thing.

Mine is still at the port and still missing its RAM. The next ship which is going to the west coast will be showing up in a few days. Hope my car gets on that ship and doesn't need to wait for the RAM in Bremerhaven.

Congrats. The RAM will be installed at the VPC prior to going to the Dealer. You will be able to find out from the Dealer status at the VPC.

Glad to hear and hopefully the ram will be waiting for your car at the dock. Who knows when though at work today I just got quoted a lead time for an item of 08/22….not good

Mine was shipped without it. Car landed in the GA VPC the day before yesterday. The ship has already left the port. Car is expected at the dealer around the 17th which seems unlikely. Expect I will find out soon if the RAM is available.

Wow. Sounds like they are simply moving the cars from one continent to another while they wait for parts. I wonder if it’s a tax thing since we are approaching the end of the year.

I won’t feel better until I drive it off the lot.

Think its more a don't waste the dead time thing. Better to ship & let the RAM catch up at some future point than let it sit on a dock till the part shows.

Well...it's in "transit" but it's just sitting on a ship at a port in the UK. I think BMW has so many cars that still need a part or two installed that they've decided to handle the overflow by putting them on ships sitting in dock.

At least it is on a ship. Mine is still at the port in Bremerhaven. it looks like the next ship heading to the west coast will be making four stops before it gets to California and will take a month to get there. Hope yours makes better time than mine.

Apparently mine is scheduled to depart UK tomorrow and arrive in Baltimore around the 27th. It's a race to see what gets there first, the car or the Receiver Audio Module. haha.

For strictly selfish reasons I hope the RAM gets there first.
If it does, then there is hope my RAM will be waiting when my car arrives in the US.

I hope so too that way I can finally get mine it has now been at the New Jersey port for 3 weeks and no word on when the ram may show up. I have been trying to forget it’s sitting just a few hours away wish I could just get it and have the ram added later. The awesome B58 is the only soundtrack I need.

I am sure they won’t allow it but I might email on Monday and see if they would allow it to get shipped to my dealer and once the part arrives I can take a road trip for the to install it. Even though I know they would never allow it. Things like this keep my mind occupied with ways to get my car sooner…lol

I already tried that. The vehicle is presently titled to BMW NA. They will not release it to the Dealer because it has a stop sale for the RAM. Patience is the only thing you can count on.

Sounds like a lot of us are waiting on the Receiver Audio Module (RAM). If anyone gets one installed please start a new thread so the rest of us can know that it's ok to start having hope again.
