Finally upgraded my trusty Uniden R3 to the even mightier R7!
Just downloaded and installed the latest Firmware. I'll give you my impressions after a few days of driving. Which may take a week or so since I don't drive very often.

I'll admit, I'm not a fan of matte paint at all, not one bit, but I actually really like this one. I think the funky design looks great in that color/finish. Many happy safe miles together.

In this segment, you have the Korean twins, VW ID.4 and the upcoming Nissan Ariya plus the Toyota BZ4X. I am not sure who else may enter the fray. They are priced to satisfy the EV rebate requirements, and offer sufficient range on a single charge, with the ability to fast charge at a suitable location. With the latter two features, it's not just a toy anymore. ~400 km range for the extended range RWD model, and charges close to 100% in 45 minutes on a DC fast charger. My friend has a Kona EV, which still drives like a Kona, albeit with more power (read: torque steer). Since this has a dedicated EV platform, it drives much better than the Kona. Ride is more compliant and less fidgety. And this suits our use-case. Lots of short trips in the city, with some weekend highway jaunts. It's very decent to drive. Body motions are controlled, acceleration is okay (and seamless), brakes are really good as the regen feature does a lot of braking for you. Build quality is also pretty good. What concerns me is long-term longevity - which remains to be seen. I did purchase an extended warranty as there just appear to be so many pricy little things to go wrong. Maybe it belongs in an 80's sci-fi movie, but the design language, however simplistic, spoke to me. Looks like a Lancia |

Agree, lots of Delta Integrale vibes which I liked and loved all the pixel lighting elements.

When the 12V aux battery on an EV goes dead, the car can't power on to use the high-voltage drive (traction) batteries. The 12V aux battery failing after 3-4 years is a common problem with many different brand EVs, including my BMW i3. Just something to be prepared for, and maybe even worth scheduling replacements every 2 years along with a brake fluid flush.....

Longshot here but: Anyone familiar with Clemson football stadium seating sections? I thought someone said they had season tickets once.
Specifically, which section / row letters / numbers are covered seats with seat-backs? I know most of the stadium is bleacher seats.
