Ok stupid question... how do I turn on this adaptive mode?

I've been getting between 28-30 mpg in eco mode with the rising prices. Of course that doesn't stop me from putting it in Sport Plus from time to time.

There is a button that says adaptive, you press it

(between eco pro and the auto handbrake button, if you have it, i've seen some pictures where there is no button, it may be linked to the adaptive suspension option)

Must be an option I don't have.

Its not just mileage its also engine wear. My typical long run is over 200 miles of interstate with speeds in the 85mph range most of the way & occasionally up from that.

Engine RPM make a nice drop when in 8th as opposed to 7th. High speed passing is no issue as the trans will kick down to the best gear.

These cars are amazingly quick from 85 to 110 or so. Local DD traffic is Sport+

Quick question, does the Adaptive mode stay on once enabled or do you have to press the button every time you start the engine?

I've got it on my 30i. You have to add the Adaptive Suspension option to the car to get it. Which , incidentally you can't do any longer without adding the bigger brakes and the LSD, too.

Thanks. Those other options are needed as well.
