Does BMW take care of SIB's after the warranty is expired?

I have a strange issue which doesn’t seem to affect driving. But sometimes when driving on an uneven road I feel a strange vibration in my steering wheel. Like something is loose. BMW checked already twice and another garage too. Both claim that maybe the steering wheel extension is to blame, but I don’t use it completely stretched out.

How can I find out if this part is in my Z4?

Dealership replaced the steering tie rods, according to the prescribed fix and alignment, no more knocking!

It says it's covered under new car warranty, but does not mention anything about coverage after the warranty expires.
