That's a good video of the 991.2 exhaust - it actually sounds really good there. I am surprised.

The GTR is a different league, its interior is very nice to be sat in, bland admittedly but very comfortable compared to the side saddle 911 seats and awkward driving position, it drives beautifully both slow or break neck fast. Gear changes are brilliant and on par with the PDK box from the porsche but not quite the M4's DCT. despite what people say about driver involvement the GTR is like all cars. Keep the nannies on and your nanny could drive it. Turn them off and it gets as much rear end action as the M4 but with enough pois to bring it back, of course with the help of 4wd.

as mentioned the Porsche C4S is just another yuppy car unless its a GT or a TT which makes it to me no better than a C220 diesel which is why i sold mine. Id pull up at my local waitros and id see 2 or 3 parked up in the same colour as mine and most commonly seen with a female driver annoyingly.

On the other hand, again as mention before the GTR is just a huuuge cock magnet. Every guy and his brother wants to rub their yoohoo on it which is an issue for me. But you cant have it all. Lol.

Out of all 3 my M4 got the most attention from both male and female as it was YMB and it had just been released. But as soon as more were seen on the roads it then became a bit blah to people, they stopped looking and the new car stigma was over.
Last week I did a test drive of 718 boxster T and I feel the same thing. I mean I'd rather have my mx5 nd back...

This weekend I'll test drive 992 c2s. Given the underwhelming experience I had with the boxster, I can only guess now that 911 is probably also overrated.

I fail to see why so many articles say that 718 and m2 are competitors. They are not even in the same price range.

First, you just resurrected a 3 year old thread but hey I guess these types of debates have no expiration date.

Second, the M2 Comp starts at $58k USD and a base 718 Cayman starts at $56k sooo not sure how you wouldn't consider that the same price range. Looks pretty damn close to me. However I don't think most folks would choose a base 718...you need to jump straight to an S to even have a real comparison and then you're talking $69k...which is pretty close to the M2 price and most people that can afford these cars aren't sweating $10k.

Third, and I'll end with this, comparing a base 4-banger 718 to a 911 is like comparing apples to pineapples. I hope the 992 blows you away (I'm sure it will...especially compared to the 4-banger 718).

So it annoys you to see a woman driving a sports car?

I've not driven a GTR, but I've had lots of time in Porsche and find them to be a well sorted sports car, so I'm not sure why all the hate for them from you. But to each his own, they are two very different cars to be sure.

You're responding to a post from 2015 😄

And the entire post is about how he buys (and gets rid of) cars based on the attention he gets. Hopefully by now he's discovered the wonders of penile enlargement surgery

Once he said pdk is on par with gtr dct ,and not quite m dct ,he has lost all credibility. Gtr dct is a turd for a lack of a better word.

I am sure the thread starter has long made his decision, but heck, it's an excuse to look at 911s:

Lots of 4Ses in these Autobahn videos

(Filmed with a BMW, by the way - this is still a bimmer forum).
