2021 order ...

Curious, there’s no incentives for September. If ordered a car, you think incentives will show in few months? They’re still on 2020 models, $2500.
Figured would ask those who have been in a similar situation. Thanks!

Am in the same boat and I have recent thread you should read.

I've gone to 3 dealers and received 3 offers which didn't include any rebates or BMW discounts except for the typical % off MSRP. Last one told me that if I order and incentives or discounts were offered by BMW N.A. during the build time period I would get them. Hmmmm....

This is a toy for me not a daily driver so I'll wait it out.

Gotcha, I’ll take a look. Same here, I don’t need it this minute. I just figured maybe some sort of incentive would show by November. Then would feel better about ordering soon. Decisions!

Best I could do was $500 below invoice. They let me walk away so I'm sure that was their best offer. I did negotiate a $125 reduction of dealer "doc fees" and made the deal. I'm following the production now and expect an October delivery to the US.

Garage List
I doubt there will be any decent incentives with demand so high in general for cars both used and new. There was a lag in production and now not enough cars to go around (sort of like the real estate situation outside nyc with so many folks fleeing for the countryside at the moment).

Understood, though only thing with this car is. It’s very niche, I can see no incentives on an X7 or other SUVs. But there was already decent incentives on the 2020 model. The 2021 is just a carry over.

In the LI region, there are only like 4 2020 M40i at this point. Would hope by Oct/Nov some money will transfer over to the 21.

Asked three dealers and got between 7.5-20% off MSRP. Seems to be quite some room for discounts..

That from a broker? I would of been laughed out of the showroom if asked for that amount. No incentives and $14k off msrp.

And what was you invoice and MSRP? Invoice # that we consumers get is invoice is about .94% of total MSRP.

Never heard of $500 below invoice. Must be on the lot, not a build?

On what? Folks, please clarify if that is a new build or been sitting on the lot for 3 months. No way are they going 20% off MSRP unless it's been rotting on some lot for 6 months, used, demo, etc.

Was that before or after the $6,000 pack of paint, seat, and rust protection "services"?

You realize he is the the Netherlands, and not US?

I'm in the northeast USA and routinely on any BMW I've previously leased through build-to-order I have been able to achieve 10-12% off MSRP, then apply BMW NA incentives.

On the 2021 Z4, I have only been able to get to 5-6% off MSRP, and currently no BMW NA incentives available on top

Found an "almost to my custom spec" 2020 Z4 and got 12% + $3k in BMW NA incentives, so pulled the trigger.... but this was sitting on the lot for a few months.

Good on ya! New cars are being inflated no matter what the brand. Covid scam IMO.
