Received the below mail from the UK dealer today, Bloody Putin

"I am very sorry to inform you that that there has been a delay with all new vehicle orders. Manufacturers were already struggling due to shortages of semiconductor chips, and now car manufacturers are having to halt or slow down production due to the war in Ukraine.

This is because the wire harnesses that are made in the West of Ukraine are vital to fitting car computer systems, and that area is currently controlled by the Russians. Cars cannot operate without wiring systems, which are often tailor-made to specific vehicles and manage miles of cables, and without them assembly lines are brought to a standstill. ⁰BMW has had to pause production at certain German and UK factories as it addresses supply chain issues caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Limited production at BMW Group plants is gradually beginning to restart but not at full capacity due to these shortages.
Existing customer orders are BMW’s top priority in rescheduling production globally, but some delays are unavoidable, so at present I can only give you an estimated delivery date of April 2022. I understand that this is frustrating, however as soon as we have further information regarding individual orders, I will be in contact directly with you.

It is very fair to say that since placing your order, the world has changed considerably, nevertheless, I apologise sincerely,

Mine is currently sitting at production code 153 assembly started, salesman said the may ship it unfinished fro Austria and add bits in Germany or UK

It would seem the wiring harness is more than a "bit"!
