Used 2019 advice
I am looking at a used 2019 Z4 s30. I’ve searched around, I’m trying to figure out what changed form 2019 to 2022,:if anything.
I found a 2019 model, 5,700 miles, has the M sport package, Premium, and Executive packages along with Adaptive suspension. They are are asking $52k. Sounds like a fair price

Off the top of my head, the only thing I can think off is the removal of the Heads up Display about half way into the cycle on the s30 models.
Also, the wind deflector was an option on the 2019 ( it comes standard now) but since yours sounds fully loaded , this wont apply to you . |

It's somewhat difficult to compare '19 to '22 pricing because the '22 no longer offered the Premium or Executive package. They offered other packages such as Premium and Convenience packages and the options in those packages changed. For example, I believe either the Premium or Executive package included both heated seats and steering wheel whereas the '22's Premium 2 package included the heated seats but not heated steering. My best guess is that a '22 model configured as your prospective '19 would have a MSRP of $63K+ and would be absent the HUD and controller touch function but would not include any additional options or feature changes (other than running changes to components that may have been re-engineered or source changed). The only caveat is the '19 was the first model year for the G29 Z4. Typically first model years are more problem prone than subsequent years but I've not heard of any issues with the '19 Z4. |

If you get the vin number, maybe there’s a way to see what specific build features the car has? (As noted, they changed package nomenclature).

IMO, $52k seems like a decent price price given the options and mileage. The market is currently sliding downward, it's a convertible at the end of the season, and the overall market for 2 seaters is also down.
Is it BMW certified? |

Out of curiosity, did you do a search on BMW's USA site for CPO's that are available within a few hundred miles of where you live? It is the end of convertible season up north and dealers are usually more flexible on their pricing because of this factor. You may discover 2020's or even 2021's with low mileage and attractive pricing.

Sounds like you did your homework. Probably don't even need to change tires yet.
Only thing left: Enjoy the car! |

Congrats, enjoy your new toy!
By the way, I can't tell from the pictures what type of floor mats you have because they appear to be covered in plastic. If they are the carpet mats upgrade them to the OEM all weather Z4 rubber mats which will only enhance the appearance of the interior and also protect the floor from the elements. |

I have the rubber floor mats. Not a fan, but tolerable. I find that my heel slips around on the large rubber ‘edge’ in front of the gas pedal. Since I live is The South and won’t see any nasty weather, I may put the carpet mats back (it was purchased in The North, so is probably a good idea for a daily driver).

The standard mats are actually pretty good. Driving in Chicagoland, daily driver as long as it's above about 45 degrees, garage in winter.
They look like new - I just shake them out if there is debris and other than that it's detailing once a year or so. Edit: I do have a second pair of shoes with me if I know or suspect I may go for a jog in wet/muddy conditions. |
