new Lexus HS 250h is nice

Wow, I like this car - Lexus HS 250h. A hybrid 4 cyl with 180 something HP. Highly considering it should I ditch the 330i. Only problem for me is it is front wheel drive. I guess I am sold by the marketing video. I can't believe I a saying this.

OP, you'd be much better off getting a loaded Prius, saving a few thousand, and getting the extra versatility of a hatchback over a sedan.

Smart move by Lexus. Not every entry luxury buyer cares about what time their car will run at the Ring.

I hate how all of the byrbid cars are shaping themselves to portray the Prius physique. Having said that, this neww Lexus certainly looks to take its underpinnings from a much cheaper Toyota. With a rebadge and slightly enhanced materials on the inside I'm sure the $10,000+ price jump from it's Corolla cousin will make Toyota/Lexus quite a bit of money.

I understand where you are coming from and agree with you, but the reason is probably because the Prius has an incredible CD. Its CD is just .25 (which is the lowest of any highly produced car). There are not a whole lot of designs you can have and keep the CD low while leaving car size small and giving the back passengers room. This is why the back of the Prius just ends and has no graceful taper IMO.

It's actually a functionally driven design cue with German roots. And it does wonders for CD.

Not anymore, the new E coupe from Merc has a CD of .24 and that design isnt as ugly as the Prius.

The side looks good but the front doesn't. That's too bad.

But the E coupe is not a small car that sells for a lower price. You can make the car bigger where you can taper the back section of the car, but you dont have the same freedom in a small car.

It's more than just a tapering rear end. You need to have a clean underbody and a smooth frontal surface area.
