799 Wheels
Hi all,
Been lurking for a few months and everyone seems like the expected wealth of knowledge. I am hoping to join the tribe here soon. I found an in stock Z4 M40i but not a fan of the all black wheels or the piano black shifter area...any recommendations on parts sources elsewhere that would be better than BMW dealer? I do love the ACS wheels but those are more than the BMW ones... Thanks, JMG - current 440i xDrive 'Vert |

Looking for something like this? These wheels are from a german company - dAhLer. Check them out. These are 21s and, IMHO, make the car.

Thank you. Added wheels, glass wind deflector, front spolier, and side skirts, then did custom / accent paint on several spots including the added spolier and skirts. I basically duplicated a Z4 that dAhLer (german company where I got the wheels) created. I saw that, feel in love and decided to order one and re-create it.

Like others have mentioned, don't think I could live with 21s here but I will check them out. Who sourced your skirts? |

@StanDiego, the wind deflector price included shipping and all duty. That one was easy. The wheels were a bit more complex (and frankly a disaster - but it was a FedEx issue and not a daHLer problem).
If anyone gets serious about the wheels I'm happy to provide some coaching on what I would do differently when ordering. Honestly, this was the first time they shipped these to the US so it was a learning experience for everyone. |

@IAM144 I'm not precious about the design and wanting to be the only one with the same vehicle. unless you live in north Dallas, TX, then the likelihood of bumping into a clone is small.
Reg the front spoiler and side skirts, I sourced those from EURO HAUS MOTORSPORT <eurohaus.motorsport@gmail.com>. They were easy to deal with. Those parts are carbon fiber, but I had them painted in the accent battleship grey color that I used for the kidney grill, front bumper accents, mirror caps and back of head rests. The color matches the grey on the underside of the back bumper. |

Another thumbs up for the good folks at dÄHLer. I had a great customer experience ordering their wind deflector. Also shipped from within Germany. I like what you did with yours.

Yea, daHLer was amazing. When the wheels were originally shipped out of Germany to the US, FedEx totally screwed up everything. They lost a nearly 200lbs pallet (with 4 wheels) at the Frankfurt airport for a week, then allowed it get stuck in customs for days (I personally had to intervene), and finally when they did deliver the wheels (almost 4 weeks after being ordered) they had damaged all 4 wheels! They crushed the pallet.
The guys from daHLer stepped up, handled the insurance, had another set recast and built, then they placed them on a direct flight from Germany to Dallas, all at their cost! As horrible as the experience was with the shipper (FedEx), it was exceptional with daHLer. |
