no issues here. Love wireless android auto, but with spotify built in and a great navigation system its not necessary. Had to recode all my preferences back again. Hate that volume pop-up and start screen as well as code video in motion and sport as default.

This also. It started with 07/2020.48, and is slightly better in .54 (was worse in .48, with additional issues not showing up in HUD).

Hard to describe, not really an audiophile... it seems to be a bit more aggressive sounding, pops less predictable, ... like I said could have been my imagination after not driving too down for a little while.

I tailed behind one with version 07/2020 some day and did find the pop became less predictable.
Have you disabled the ASD yet? I suspect the aggression of the sound may caused by that...

I contacted BMW Klantenservice who also said that the battery must be full as there are safety features enabled to ensure the update only works when the battery is full.

Yes, it installed this week after 2 consecutive trips of 50km. Can't really imagine why it has to take 2 weeks to install. Even if a battery isn't fully charged, it would seem odd that an update, similar to a large Mac update, would cause the battery to drain beyond functioning 😂

I first noticed as the engine light came on after a short drive... I figured it must be the o2 sensor for the catless downpipes...
Then I put my foot down a few times and it just felt so much slower so I knew it was the tune.
I took it back to my tuner and he confirmed it was definitely deleted over...
I won't be doing any more remote updates lol

Maybe because of a new environmental law not not allowing using it in your place, like here in Europe?
When I bought the car a few months ago, I asked for the remote start option and they just said it was bad for the environment and not allowed.
That's the problem with so much technology in our cars.
BMW can take control on how we use their products anytime.
Imagine buying high teck Chinese car.
They will be recording everything you do.

If the battery drops off and shuts the update down, you likely just bricked your car and would require tow to dealer. So they probably put some very cautious parameters around the charge level, etc. to help ensure this doesn't occur.

It takes awhile to both download and install...I drove around for over 1/2 hour to get it downloaded, without phone assist. Then I sat in dark garage and watched it install...well, the display is 99% off during the install, but all the other lights in the car go off/on/blink etc throughout the install...pretty interesting process.

I love they added directions to HUD for Apple maps, however, I'm still waiting on same for Waze please!

Android Auto works great, but it connects automatically in the background. Its interferes with google maps on my phone when i want to search. Its says android auto connected and defeats the manual operation of google maps. I have to force stop the app. Its annoying. I would prefer to choose Android Auto Myself. Any help would be appreciated.

Picked the car up this morning from the Dealer having had the manual update completed. All happy now

The update disables a setting in iDrive: you need to go to the climate control settings to allow engine remote start for climate pre-condition. Once you set that and restart the app, the app will show remote start again after a little while (I think once it read data from the car).

I seem to have one issue after the update: addresses sent from the connect app on my iPhone are not visible in the car. The app in the car keeps informing me to log in, though everything else seems to work fine. Moreover, I can't find any possibility to log in the app. My drivers profile is active.
Anyone else a similar experience (and hopefully a solution?&#128514
