The couple people I have seen that documented their whole build and delivery journey showed three weeks from arrived at port to in transit. I don’t know how representative these two are.

Mine sat at the port (in Europe) for 5 weeks around this time last year.

Hi everyone,

My Z4 has been sitting at the port since March 18th...15 days and counting...I check every morning/evening, on the app and online to see if there have been any updates. Good news - the car has been produced...Bad news - who knows when it will get here. I called the BMW Genius hotline...nice enough people, but they didn't have any information beyond what I can get from My Garage.

Mine was 8 calendar days from Production Begins to Exterior Body Assembly Begins. So that would have been last Friday (29th) for you. You likely were impacted by Easter holiday and I would guess will move in a day or so. 🤷‍♂️

Its a UK listing, https://vehiclerecall.bmwgroup.com/i...uk&language=en, not US specific. There are holds all through the production process, might show for any of them.

GREAT NEWS!! This morning I logged on and saw that the status of the Z4 had changed on My BMW - it now states "Your BMW is in Transit, It won't be long now."

I called the folks at BMW Genius and sure enough - the car was loaded on to the ship Cepheus Leader last night and is currently heading to Southampton, England (where I can only assume that a group of rowdy Mini Coopers will join this merry crew) on the way to Oxnard, CA.

ETA Oxnard is 5/2 with an ETA to my dealer in Colorado of 5/20. Looks like I'll be tracking the ship (marine traffic.com or vesselfinder.com or findmyship.com) for the next four weeks. Is anyone else on this ship?

Aww... Guess our cars aren't on the same boat! My status changed to "in transit" between 7:30am and 2:30pm today. Yes, I checked this morning, then again when I saw your post. It's on Apollon Highway bound for Brunswick, GA, due on April 19th, for PCD.

I think this is where our cars part ways. Mine flipped to “in transit” this morning so I think it was loaded on to “Morning Lynn” due in Halifax on April 17th. It should land at the dealer by first or second week of May I’d guess. A nice birthday present if so!

That is a bummer - we are two ships that will literally pass in the night!! But, this is a great day for both of us and others on the forum as well - our Z4s are FINALLY on the way!! Awesomeness!!

Congratulations!! That was quick! I am jealous. Did you even show as “At the Port” or did you jump directly from “dispatched from factory” to “in transit”?

Pretty much that.

I also jumped a few steps in the production sequence as well. The GM at my store said because it’s priority 1 it gets loaded before cars for dealer lots. I assume this is a Canada only thing since our market is smaller.

Still eagerly awaiting an allocation here. First round was on Feb 2, second round on March 4. I was hoping to get a call from one of the dealers today, but surely by the end of the week... right??

Same here - placed my first-in-line order Feb 6 and still stuck at 047 :-(
