Charles, I've really made progress this week, I've gone from being in the paint booth for two weeks to knowing what ship my car will be on by Friday !!

I advanced to paint booth last Friday 3/25 and still there. I did not think it took a full week to get through that part of production.

I was in there for a little over two weeks. The factory was supposedly closed for two weeks, so I can't be specific.

Im ready to plan a road trip and the car is still being built

Will do something in October for sure, but may drive up this summer to tour the Buffalo Trace distillery and possibly stay at the Kentucky Castle ( looked like a cool place to stay the night)
Our little 430i has seen most of the Blue Ridge Parkway and would not mind making that drive again.

Hey, just wanted to mention one more thing without high jacking the thread.
We just got back from Hilton Head and I checked out the BMW dealer website during some downtime and they have four new Z4s listed - they may all be pre- sold or may be available? I believe three are 30i and one is a M40i.

After reading your post I was curious and did a new car search of my are which is limited to only 100 miles on the BMW website. There was only one white/ magna red sDrive30i showing in production for Braman in Miami. None of my other local dealers showed any new Z4's available.

There were 5 certified preowned Z4's appearing which had between 10,000 - 17,500 miles on them. One was a M40i and the other four were sDrive30i's.

A lot happened today, went from “enter assembly line “ on Friday to “assigned carrier “ this afternoon. Several weeks ago I was told the car could be at the port for up to 4 weeks, perhaps that wait has decreased some as well.
If anything out of the ordinary happens between now and delivery, I will post.

Very interesting! Have you checked to see whether you’re a RAM recall? My M40i finished production in late February and has been stuck at the port awaiting a new RAM module ever since. My SA tells me that the install is scheduled for week of 4/25 and that I’ll see my car in mid-to-late June.

Maybe you got lucky and the non-recall parts are being installed in the factory now! Hope so for your sake!!

When I was waiting for my car to complete the build I found that the reporting of where the car was in the build process was very poor. So I'm not surprised in what you are seeing.

I couldn't log on to my garage for last 2 days. BMW website is not the best.
