Arrow McLaren with Chevy engine may just be the ticket for Alonso.

YAY!
Racing’s Triple Crown is achieved if Alonzo drinks milk in Victory Lane.

Unpopular opinion: Alonso dug his own grave in F1 and is trying to save face with Dakar and Indy. He didn't achieve that in Dakar and will never achieve it in Indy. He can drive but on the scale of saltiness he only comes second to Mark Webber, and the most successful drivers (even Prost) are never salty!!!

He didn't do himself any favors in F1 to be sure, but he also had astonishingly horrible timing in terms of changing teams.

To be fair Alo going to Ferrari seemed the logical thing to do and he seized the chance to do so, just didn't work out driving it that quick bc the reds simply didn't have the extra innovations for the car do so basically needing to start from a new chassis to achieve that.No driver could work that out only the techs.

Not only that but I've read a lot of comments of how horrible he treated Nakajima and Buemi, and how inside Gazoo Racing he was acting like he was the only driver on the team and the other two drivers are sidekicks.

After winning the 2019 Sebring 1000, Alonso had praise for Kazuki's rain skills.

Alonso, Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima scored their first WEC victory since last year's Le Mans 24 Hours in the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid after coming out on top by a lap over the sister #7 Toyota.

Nakajima suffered a late scare when heavy rain hit the Sebring circuit in the final 30 minutes, going off track but recovering to ensure he and his team-mates extended their WEC points lead.

Despite starring in similar conditions in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, Alonso admitted he was glad that it was Nakajima aboard the #8 car for the closing stages.

"When it rained, I preferred not to be in the car, seeing the conditions, which were a bit like Daytona, with lots of water, aquaplaning everywhere, poor visibility, at night," said Alonso.

"Kazuki is a super-reliable driver in that regard. He does not make mistakes and he has his calm point; sometimes Sebastien and I are more Latinos, more fiery in that sense.

"In conditions like today, he was a perfect man to have in the car."

My boss says a lot of good things about me in public but is a total douchebag to me in private.

After winning the 24hrs of LeMans, Alonso praised his co-drivers (and received praise)...plus he spoke of the friendships.

"They have the experience, they taught me a lot about endurance racing, the car, long-distance races…I was the man who asked many questions," admitted Alonso whose performance during the night at the 2018 24 Hours earned praise from Buemi. "This was the key moment at Le Mans. I remember I had a penalty. When I went to bed we were almost a lap down and when I woke up Fernando was just behind the sister car. During the night, we're on the low end of the tire use spectrum and so sometimes it's difficult to make them react. And we know Fernando puts a lot of energy into his tires, which allows him to get the most out of them and be extremely competitive at night. It's about his driving style and it makes the difference compared to daytime conditions."

"There were some windows when it was better and it was not in some others, so we had to find the rightest balance on the track," added Alonso. For the two-time F1 world champion and now two-time Le Mans winner, the next races are Dakar in the Saudi Arabian sand dunes and the the Indianapolis 500 on the oval in the U.S. He holds fond memories of his time in endurance racing. "The friendship with the guys you share the car with and the guys of the other car, all of this is unique and I cannot compare this to anything else. I had no stress because I knew they would to do the right thing when they were at the wheel."
