Sure my friend . If you look at SEB's start from P11 to P4 !
MAX was actually standing still . Had zero grip at the start .He lost it already at the start ..
Later he lost it behind PER for P2 while he was faster . It was a bad moment to overtake and he had to be more patient and just wait for a better moment .
He had the chance to take it there at that moment !
At that moment HAM was still nowhere...HAM was 20+ sec behind because he spinned off !
Bad RB race for sure ..MAX gave it away . And he knows it !

It’s a shame for Max. He’s great in finding grip in the rain but when the racing line and the rest of the track are both slippery he can really mess it up. He’s still lacking in one department. Patience. He’s too eager on the loud pedal and never let’s the race come to him. Too many mistakes cost him the race.

Bottas? He doesn’t deserve his seat. He can run second to Hamilton but when thrown in the mix he showed that he’s just as good as the car and track under him.

Yeah i'll watch in on the tv but from what people say he did fluff it at the start in first gear, maybe should have started in second..they've got anti stall so it wouldn't have hurt and he may have run to a different strat if he started ok to chase Stroll..

Bad RB race for sure . MAX gave it away twice ! HAM just drove a smart race and he took it .
Well deserved victory from HAM . He didn't stole this one by the Mercs advantage ..

MAX had just to wait behind PER for a better moment , while HAM was 20 sec behind .
By his spin he had to pit again ,because he got flat spots on his tires . And of course 3 pits is one too much !

Patience was all he needed today to win this race .

And BOT ? Just WOW ! Honestly , BOT should sign a contract at Williams !

No he didn't hold back.
But Verstappen was overdriving the car....using the wet kerbs too much, getting too much wheelspin from getting on the throttle too hard and not being able to manage the constantly changing conditions very well.
Hence the spins and the constant yoyoing of distance between him and the cars he was chasing down despite in the fastest car for most of the race

Hamilton instead maximised the poor grip he had early on in the race by being smooth on the throttle and steering inputs.
Kept his tyres in decent shape when he was stuck behind Vettel and couldn't get past.
And when his (heavily worn) tyres finally switched on and he had clear track ahead he pulled out more than 30 secs to the next car.

Thats why Hamilton wins wet races and Verstappen doesn't.

Exactly.

It's pathetic how those who promote a guy with not a single World Championship also try to knock the 7 time champ as being inferior somehow. Evan as Lewis frequently drives away from Max and all others. Respect where respect is due. Also credit to Belgian for his props to HAM in this race. At least one of them gets it.

I also don't understand why there is so much hype for a guy who doesn't consistently deliver. He has potential, but he's not there yet. Not on the same level still.
