Cool video overall. Stitching pictures with a digital back uh ? Lense with very low barrel and pincushion distorsion and no vigneting probably the most important. Seems like a 1Dx or D3x could handle that job better with 10+ fps than only 1.2 fps with the IQ140. Less pressure for shooting these moving car at just the right time. 16 bits versus 14 bits it is a close call. Good luck with these..

To make a panoramic stitch he probably planted himself in the middle of a bunch of curves and successively took pictures with cars in zone 1, 2 and 3 and either turning or shifting the lense in between. If the weather was muggy and overcast the particular MF digital back he used is not any good above 800 ISO. So definitively the Canon 1dx with its fast shooting capability and high ISO could have handled that job just as well if not better given the nature of the shoot and weather conditions.
