Was told it would be 4 weeks + for a front rim ordered to Canada. So even though I had rim and tire insurance I ended up getting it fixed myself as they also have no spare tires that fit the M5 and a month is a long wait! (was 1600km from home in Vancouver)

Out of the US waits I can see this happening. Inside the US, no waits and if they quote you more than 10 days pay more to expedite.

I do this with made to order aftermarket parts, OEM parts, etc... I haven't waited over 10 days on anything since 2006.

You shouldn't have to pay for quicker warrenty service. Where iive in Canada Lexus can have a whole engine in a week or less. Love my BMW but EVERYTHING seems like a 1 month wait. my dealer doesn't even have tire stock!

2014 750LI waiting on Parking Brake Actuator

My 2014 750LI is waiting on Parking Brake Actuator -- part on backorder with no idea as to when it will come, I went and picked up my car, the idea of it sitting in the hot sun in a dirty backlot was not cool with me. I hope they come up with the part soon, I would love to drive my 15 day old investment.

My 2013 328i has been off the road for 3 months now, 2 months of which was waiting on back ordered parts. BMW NA told me I should be working with my dealer... My dealer has been very helpful given the circumstances, this supply-chain issue is obviously out of their control.

Waiting since June for front control arm bushings.
Luckily, the ones on my car aren't broke ... yet.
