The Genius said it is not assigned to a ship yet, and that I should try back when it reaches the "in transit" state.

Oh absolutely! looking forward to it. According to previous build, it'll be ready for transport in just a couple days. ProdDate on the website was 8/17/23. So yeah... it'll be interesting indeed.

My ProdDate changed from 8-17-23 to 7-27-23.

However, status still shows on the Assembly line.

The website can take a while to update. I expect yours will show In QA or Awaiting Carrier Assignment by the end of today.

going off of my last build, I expected it yesterday, but I keep hitting that refresh button to no avail!

But now the real waiting starts...

Mine took 3 days from build to leave the factory and another 3 days to reach the port. Then it sat for over 2 weeks before it was on the ship.

At least at the port I wasn't checking 6 times a day as I checked the ship schedules. No sense checking when there isn't a ship in port.

Yeah not to mention, iirc on my previous build, it took awhile for the website to catch up when it was in transit.

Yeah. For me the ship was almost to Zeebrugge before it showed In transit.

Yeah same actually.. I ended up calling the genius line to get the name of the ship. Looking at the RoRo schedule, I figured it was on the ship, but wasn't 100% sure until after I contacted them.

Looking at the schedule below i'm HOPING for Aug 28th, but I think that is a pipe dream. However, 13 September would be perfect as the two days later is my Bday! LOL pessimistically .. .Oct would be the 3 month build time that was somewhat expected.

Are you saying that you've found a ship schedule that might fit your build timeline? I'm interested in your journey AND because my BSM over IWV M40i build is following yours by about a week.

Heya... yeah mine is coming into Galveston, so based on where I am in the build and what the RORO schedule looks like... I'd say that it is a possibility for it to be on the ship arriving here Aug 28th, but unlikely. So I'd say it'll be on the one arriving Sept 13th. Unless my car just sits at the port forever... then October it is.

Yeah I have a feeling that the system isn't getting updated. I fully expected it to be ready for transport by now.

I get the impression it doesn't update on weekends. Mine switched to "in transit" this (Monday) morning. I just popped an email to the BMW geniuses to see if they have the ship info.
