My frozen grey went in production beginning of last week. Also noticed the frozen grey option is again available on BMW USA website for M40i. BTW, once you get your Vin or a vin from similar cars for sale you can get the online manual with all your options. I have already read most of it! helps you learn about car ahead of time and to ease the wait!

Picked up my new Z4 M40i last Wednesday. Here are some photographs. Absolutely enjoy driving it. Still breaking it in but I love putting the top down and cruising in the mountains here in Colorado. I did have an episode of a rock getting in the brake (or at least I assume that was what the problem was). That is a nasty screeching sound. I accelerated a little and braked a little and eventually the sound went away. I'm not sure anyone else cared but in my head it was a little embarrassing having this beautiful new car making this horrible, screeching noise. Oh well, it did go away and hasn't come back. Thanks to all that made me aware of this issue. Otherwise, I would have really been wondering what was wrong!

Very nice car. Similar to my car, but I have black leather interior.
Yes, the noise from the stone trapped in the brakes is absolutely horrendous. Glad yours came out fairly quickly. I had a couple of occasions where I had to take the car to my dealer several miles away to get the stone removed. Enjoy your new ride. |

Jim, Thanks for the feedback. You were one of the first ones on the G29 site (as I remember) and I loved reading your thoughts about your new car. Also loved the photographs. They helped sway me toward the Misano Blue. I couldn't decide about the interior but finally went with the cognac. I always had black interiors so I thought I'd change it up. Love driving the car!

The Cognac interior is very nice and the car is fantastic to drive. Very comfortable with plenty of power.
For your information, I think as the Michelin Pilot SS tyres start to wear down they get less sticky and don’t throw up so many stones. My car is improving in that respect, no stones stuck in the last 500 miles. Was happening around every 250. |

I wonder why Glacier silver isn't an option in the UK as that looks really nice and shows the Z4 lines off well.

Thank you. We feel very lucky. There are some wonderful winding roads with great vistas. Still, need to watch for wildlife which are fun to see but can be hazardous.

Had so many white cars in recent so I have gone all out with a polar opposite. Glacier silver would have been my ideal choice but for some reason its not a option in the uk.

Was between Frozen Gray and blue. Went with the blue and it really stands out on the road. Havent seen another blue one yet.

Your car looks very nice. I went with blue, too. I had never used paint protection film before but decided to protect it with Llumar Platinum (apparently the same product as Suntec). No more paint chips! Bugs and grime clean off easily. No regrets with the Misano Blue. Love it!
