They used to do this back in the late 00s at least. Never took advantage of it since flying to South Carolina to uninteresting to say the least.

It says "each new BMW purchased in 2020..." so I don't think it is linked to model year. Therefore, if you bought a new MY19/20/21 in 2020, it should qualify. At least I hope it means that!

I had to cancel my PCD, so if this is true, I would be pretty excited.

My buddy who got his first BMW this year got the invite. Another buddy who is a repeat BMW owner did not get the invite. That leads me to conclude it's only sent to first time BMW buyers.

It's for both lease and purchase.

Wasn't it free back in the day when you picked it up your car from the Performance center?
I remember picking up my e92 m3 down there and it was a free day at the Performance center, off road course and tour of the Spartanburg factory. Hotel, food and airport shuttle was all included as well.

Yes, for performance center delivery. But I think this is just free for the actual event. Probably does not include food, lodging, etc

Maybe it's sent to first time buyers only, but that isn't an excuse on their part. Loyal BMW customers, like many forum members here, may want to attend but would not be aware.

I can help here, as I worked on the Performance Center site.

The program is good for any new BMW purchased in 2020, from January 1 until December 31, 2020. Leases are also included.

The PDC is just now rolling out the program, so they are working to reach customers from earlier in the year first. They will be sending email invitations in batches, and if you purchased between January and March, you should have received the first blast. The next invite will be sent out in a few weeks for those that purchased in April, May, June.

You don't need to wait for your invite though. Once you purchase your car, give it a week or so, then call to book! Make sure you have your VIN and bmw center info handy.

I'd call for that - I thought it was book by the end of the year, but with everything going on they may extend it for you.
