Z4 LCI Spy Shots

They planned to carry out the LCI in July 2022.
However, due to changing circumstances surrounding us it was postponed until November 2022.
They will only update the shape of the front bumper.
I like the current front bumper, that's why I ordered my M40i today. It will be produced in September or October.

What's your source for the LCI only updating the front bumper?

I don't think they will redo the interior to accommodate the larger screen of iDrive 8. They may offer us a iDrive 8 Lite version using the current center screen.

Changing the interior seems like it would be more than a ‘refresh’, but a new model.

I would love to see them offer the Kyalami Orange and Silverstone interiors that they have in other M cars. The Magna Red is starting to look dated and they should offer a nice grey leather color.

Wonder if they will bump the power a little? A light tune would give them a 400BHP to advertise.

I was thinking they would update the headlights together with the front bumper considering that's has been the trend for other LCIs. Do we know for sure front headlights won't be updated?

Don't forget that on April 21st BMW's Head of Design confirmed that future M Performance models will get quad pipes. We will probably see that happen with the LCI.

They all look like they are at the outer edge of the bumper. Wonder if they will keep the M version in the middle?

I think the only thing that will make me extra jealous is if that purple color is offered that I keep seeing on the 2 series.

Looks pretty good, and I think it helps with one of the Z4s biggest problems, which is that it's demeanor feels "small" and is lacking presence.

The G29 design details are more Miata than Jaguar F-Type, which isn't how I think about this car.

In 2022, the G29 LCI may have been cancelled.
The iDrive will be updated first in July 2023 for right-hand drive cars only, and in March 2024 for left-hand drive cars.
EOP is November 30, 2025.
