Which deal rate -which one would you choose?

I Have narrowed down some choices on 2 units both the color combo I'm seeking.

This one is a '21 CPO with 9900 miles and has warranty until 4/26
https://galleriabmw.com/vehicle/used...f9c09mwx18230/

Asking $53,800

This one is a '22 with 6800 miles has warranty until 7/26
Asking $56,900

Both appear to be well kept. I'm trying to decide if the extra $3k for the '22 is work 3K more for 3 months longer warranty, 3K less miles and 1 year newer?

2015 Yamaha FZ-09  [10.00]
2018 BMW S1000XR   [9.83]
2018 BMW R1200RT  [10.00]
2023 BMW X4  [7.88]
2022 BMW Z4  [9.78]
Only 1 link, but great color choice i must say.

If you plan to keep it for 4+ years id say 21 cpo. If only a couple of years, id say the 22 as on resale you'll get the 3k back.

If the second one is also a CPO (not mentioned) I would go for the 2022 with the lower mileage because when you decide to sell it in the future that year difference should make a difference in your selling price.

The 22 is not a CPO but the warranty is a few months longer obviously because it’s newer.

I’d go with the ‘22 and see if you can work the price lower.

The 22 has dropped $1600 in 10 days. It’s due for another adjustment. 1 price change.
$1,602 price drop from original price.

Wasn’t there some equipment issues with the 2022’s due to parts shortages? May be something else worth looking into.

I tend to favor the 2021 model. I do not think you would get the extra $3000 back, unless you only plan on keeping it a few years. These are not popular cars. They are not holding resale value well and it will get worse with no warranty.

The websites for both dealers make it extremely hard to do a side by side comparison of the packages and options included in each car. In fact their listings were not user friendly and gave me a headache!

I would write down a complete list of what was offered by BMW for those two model years and then see what is actually included in those two cars. That may give you a clearer picture and will definitely help in your decision making process.

I hate most dealers' websites. They are absolute crap at describing the car's as built configuration. I usually just copy the VIN and run it through ///M Decoder to get the as-built data. There is almost always something worth learning in those reports.

That's been a complaint on line about it for a while. Speculation is it is tied to their anti-spam efforts.

I just tried it and it was working. I was using Chrome and entered the VIN via Cut and "Paste as plain text". Also not using a VPN. Though I've had the problem pop up a few times in the past. You can try using a different browser or Incognito mode. Sometimes the solution is just trying again a while later.

There's also bimmer.work but the output layout (multiple tabs, long list with thumbnail pics) and lots of ads can be annoying.

There are so few options on the M40, I think you should be able to get all you need from the photos except I would ask about them both having the HUD which is part of the Prem Pkg..

The one less obvious option that is missing from the '21 is parking assistant. Not a huge deal unless you need it where you normally park or like the reversing assistant (which is pretty nice TBH).
