The sun, a lack of hair and a cap
After enjoying a good long drive in the sun with the roof down I've noticed that my preferred choice of cap isn't providing any UV protection.
I'm not one for applying sun cream on my head and after experiencing the joy of being 'bird bombed' a few years back I decided that a cap was the way to go. I've also experienced a cap blowing off and landing in the next county so a good fit is important. The hat I wear for hillwalking provides UV protection but it isn't what I'd call 'trendy' so I'm looking for a cap that offers good UV protection, a comfortable but tightish fit and a tinge of fashion. Any recommendations? |

I have a couple of BMW baseball caps and they seem to keep out the sun quite well - and look good. Paid about £25 for each of them.

Can I wear an M hat in an M40i or will I look presumptuous and silly?

Tell me why I should care what people I don't even know think about any specific baseball hat I wear. I am sure some of my NRA hats can cause attacks of apoplexy in certain people. Have a bunch of hats, been driving open top cars since 1959, & this one gets pulled out of the pile on a random basis. Probably needs a run through the cloths washer.
The FFR Cobra company has a tag line "Built not Bought". Can say this one was "Earned not Bought"

Not a BMWCCA or BMW Hat But....
For our roadster drives, I prefer a full 360 degree brim along with a lanyard to keep from loosing the hat in the wind....have found this Eddie Bauer hat light weight and reasonably priced..and currently on sale!!! I just put a small BMWCCA pin on it (on the band where some folks might put their fishing flies)
