Potential for Z4M with s58?

In the past, the higher ups at BMW have flatly denied the possibility of a true M version of the Z4. I just came across this article about the potential for a limited edition version of the Supra that would feature the S58 engine (the ///M version of the B58 in the M40i).

Assuming these rumors have some credibility, would it not make sense for BMW to do the same thing to the Z4 and give us a full M version of the G29? Probably just wishful thinking on my part, but a Z4M would be my ideal car.

Was about to post a similar theory. I think they'll watch how the GRMN Supra sells. An Alpina roadster version would be fantastic!

Plug a JB4 into the current engine if its not strong enough for you.

So far have been traction limited on launch & 1/2 shift to maximize the current engines output in a traffic light grand prix. Can just get slightly under 4 seconds.

I would buy a Z4M in a hearbeat! S58 is such a beast...

Stick a manual transmission in the Z4 and I would have bought one, ultimately though I have little faith in BMW putting any money into the Z4, it will likely just receive the axe instead.
