I drove my Z4 today! After a month of below freezing temps, it was 20c and gorgeous today! The whole week is supposed to be warm so I took some time off from work to do some more driving!

Went for a drive to a winery today. It was a nice sunny day here in Melbourne Australia.
Greetings to everyone hope you're enjoying your cars! |

First I want to thank everyone that put helpful info on this forum.
Here are some of the things I've done to my car. - Debadged the trunk. - Converted to black & white Roundels everywhere. - Added wheel spacers. 8mm front and 12.5mm rear. - Wrapped the mirror caps, grill trim and lower trim with carbon fiber vinyl. - Painted grills satin black. (Shadowline trim wasn't available when I ordered.) - Added dark red pinstripes to the wheels. About the only thing I might do now is paint the brake calipers red... not sure yet... just don't care for the blue calipers. |

I used a Stripe It All kit from Tapeworks. You leave the wheels on the car and have a helper spin them as you apply the tape with a special tool. I striped them over 9 months ago and it seems to be holding up well.
You can buy the stuff on Amazon or direct from Tapeworks. |

Shhhhh she's sleeping
Unfortunatley I haven't done anything lately. Weather here sucked since Thanksgiving. Put a fresh coat of wax on her before the cover went on.

Stunning car. I'm sure you got lots of compliments from the PCD staff. They had my 340i parked in the same place when I did PCD in 2017!

9000 miles and replaced 4 tires unfortunately. pothole blowout on front. My rear tires were worn. Lots of burnouts. wanna play gotta pay! Needed tow for a flat. What a joke. No runflats ( not that i'm a fan) 2 hours for tow. So i bought a scissor jack and lug wrench. Not all that big. Jack Behind rear seat in box. Hardly know its there. And lug wrench in trunk well secured. Got a spare rim with tire that will fit front or back. 255 35 19. Keep the spare on side of my house and will Uber it to me when i am stuck. Of course this only works when i'm local, but beats waiting for a tow and a dealer visit. That could be a good 3 hr waste of time. And if its after hours even worse.

Nothing personally, though BMW is doing something to it - mine entered production!

Ferry Boat Ride
Beautiful day for a ferry boat ride. It's all of .9 miles across the St. Johns River, but if you're heading to Amelia Island from the other side it saves you 20 miles of driving. Free today too as they have just reopened after maintenance work.
Note: Do not lock the vehicle to take a walk around the ship. The motion of the boat will set off your car alarm. The Z4 alarm does not sound the horn but instead it screeches obnoxiously (just what you want for an alarm). Don't ask me how I know. |
